Genuine Product
Have only used these vs imitation ones. No issues with these. Lasts easily 6-9 months. What a big difference in the color and taste. We have city water with lots of magnese which is visibly light brown at times. And no more chlorine taste! Also have it attached to kitchen icemaker. Worth every penny!

I love my water now!
Sept 26, 2024 This is my 2nd edit of my original review. I must be fair to Aquasana and report that it was OUR ERROR that water stopped flowing from my Aquasana unit. Though we managed to replace the cartridges, we FAILED to line them up perfectly with those little plugs (because the tops spin around). THAT'S why water wasn't flowing! We finally took the unit off the bracket and looked at it upside-down and went, "OHHHH!" NOW we can see what we're supposed to do. So now everything is working great again and I'm once again drinking fresh, delicious water. It makes me wonder now if my niece had dumped her Aquasana (previous post) in haste because she believed it no longer worked, but perhaps she hadn't properly seated the cartridges. We'll never know now. I'm giving my Aquasana 5 stars again! **************************** I first wrote my original review on August 15, 2024, after being in love with my Aquasana unit for 3 years. NOW, TODAY – no water will come out!! My niece – the one mentioned in my original review – came over to change cartridges that I had just purchased, and she did some troubleshooting. She can't figure it out. By the way, she also just recently dumped her Aquasana unit because HERS stopped working! What's with these things? Is 3 years all you get out of them? I'm terribly disappointed but really I'm just downright angry! Now I DO know why they're only coming in at 3.8 stars. **************************** August 15, 2024 I've had my Aquasana unit working for me now for 3 years. I've replaced the cartridges just once so far. I don't know why reviews come in at only 3.8 for this thing. I love mine and give it 5 stars! I would never drink tap water and man I hated buying water. $$$! My niece lives around the corner from me and every couple of weeks she would fill gallon jugs for me using HER Aquasana. I finally bought my own unit and I'm so glad I did. This purified water keeps my Keurig from malfunctioning as I only put Aquasana water in it. My first Keurig took a dump in less than a year because I used tap water in it. So I got a new one and put only Crystal Geyser water in it until my niece started refilling my jugs. I've had this Keurig now for 8 years (same exact model as the first one but I removed that little filter thing) and it's still working great cuz I've never used tap water in it. Heavy metals and deposits are probably why Keurigs are always breaking down. Anyhoo, I drink a lot more water now and it's great having good tasting water at my fingertips anytime I want. No more buying water and having plastic bottles and jugs everywhere! Doesn't matter how much replacement cartridges are because it's still cheaper than constantly buying water. Anyone sitting on the fence about this should reconsider because this makes very good drinking water!

Great clean water solution
My family drinks gallons of water. Our water is hard and (I believe...) clean (suburb of Philadelphia) but you never know. I'm not a fan of bottled water. Bad for the environment plus lots of lugging cases in and out of the house. This Aquasana set-up has worked great for us. We have a separate filtered water faucet and the filters mount under the sink. Changing the filters is easy, the hard part is mounting and unmounting the unit to gain access to the filters. Based on our usage, I suspect that changing them every 9 months would be about right. I went with an every 6 month subscription to be on the safe side. The filters are pretty black after that period of time. The water tastes great. We have had the system for a few years without issue.

Great filter, no leaks, watch out when ordering replacements
This filter has worked out well for me. The water tastes good and was nice to get away from having a bulky brita to deal with. It took a bit of doing to install, but I had never done a plumbing installation under the kitchen sink before. Just follow the instructions to a T but ALSO use plumbing tape. I'm very surprised that the instructions don't include this very simple step for preventing leaks. They should include a tiny bit of plumbing tape with their product and could probably cut way down on the number of negative reviews you see here about leaking. Also anyone concerned about leaks should get some YoLink leak detectors and put them under the sink. This could save a lot of $$ and headache in the future. My only gripe (and the reason for 4 stars instead of 5) is with the nonsensical product numbering which lead me to mistakenly order the wrong filter replacement after the unit started beeping at me 6 months after installation. My unit is model AQ-5300+.56, whereas the filter I initially ordered is for model AQ-5300.56. These look very similar, except for the oddly placed plus sign. The numbers should be more distinct from each other to prevent mistaken replacement filter orders.

Update: massive leak due to manufacturing failure
Update - I've revised my review to one star. This water filter system failed catastrophically and flooded our entire kitchen overnight. It completely destroyed the hardwood floor and cabinets. I would not recommend purchasing one of these. And if you do own one, make sure you check it weekly and turn off your water when you are not at home. Love this filtered water faucet - I found installation to be simple and straight forward. The instructions that come with the kit are easy to understand and follow. The length of hose provided (3' supply line and 3' filtered line) was plenty for my installation - and I'd imagine it will work well for most configurations. A few tips for when you install: - you don't need a very large hole for the faucet and the cover plate "barely" covers existing pre-drilled holes. If you are going to drill a hole in your counter for this unit, you can drill smaller than the standard. - I recommend having the handle off to the side (as opposed to facing the sink) - keeps you from getting your hand wet every time you turn it on. In terms of performance - the water comes out very smoothly - no sputters or pauses. Water tastes great - basically like clean water. I see that others have noted a "sweet" taste - to me it just tastes like clean water. That said, I have always consumed bottled water, so perhaps if you drank tap water before you'd notice more of a difference. The brushed nickel finish will be a good match for other brushed nickel faucets or for satin stainless (which is what I have). Update: I purchased a second filter system for another sink. This one is Oil Rubbed Bronze. I will say that the finish is a bit lighter than most oil rubbed bronze finishes - so it's not as good of a match as the brushed nickel finish is. It's still acceptable, but not perfect.

Much butter than our RO System
We just love this filter system. We purchased it to replace a failed reverse osmosis tank that we had for years. At the recommendation of our plumber we chose to go with a filter, this one has three stages, over the RO since it's cost effective and saves water (no waste!) first, Much like the others mention, the water tasted slightly sweet at first. Over time that went away and now I wonder why I ever had a reverse osmosis tank at all. What a waste of money! We love the water taste and that we never, ever run out of water - we fill dozens of water bottles and tanks for use outside or on the road and we never have to wait for the "tank" to fill so we can then use the water. It just flows and flows and we fill and fill! Love it! I like the extra space under the counter, too. It does fill slightly slower, but it isn't such a difference that we care. Further, with all the issues and cost of maintaining the RO, this is a minute concern on our end. I recommend you purchase this filter. I was not paid for this stellar review, either, I didn't receive anything for free. I sincerely mean this. You can message me with questions. It installed in minutes. Super easy!

Good quality, water filter filters on subscription
I love this under the counter filtered water system, and having these aquas replacement filters on subscription so I don’t even have to think about when I need them again is really convenient. I have them coming every six months and I don’t have to think about my water quality.

It works!
Got it for work so hired someone to install it for us. No problems and the unit works perfectly. No leaking, no problems. The undersink unit was mounted against the wall and looks neat and clean. We drilled a hole on side of the sink and installed the spout unit which works fine. Just a heads up the color of the spout unit is stainless steel. Our Kohler sink is "vibrant stainless" and the color matched perfectly. The water will be somewhat slippery when you use it first time. You have to flush it out. Tastes fine and it's been only one day. I'll try putting a bottle in the fridge to make it cold and see how that improves taste. Honestly, for what the unit is supposed to do the original setup as well as the filter replacements are pretty cheap. Gets rid of chemicals and organics as well as physical particulate. Only slight annoyance is that you have to run the water a bit to flush out the water already in the filtration cartridges at first use but clean water on tap at this price is hard to complain about.

Great water filter system but a pain to install in Singapore
Got this to replace the Pur on tap filter and it works great. Now I can use any kitchen faucet and still have filtered water. Beware for overseas users though, the fittings are for US plumbing and I had to make multiple runs to the hardware store to get this installed properly. Update - May 2023: The Claryum A canister (red) was leaking quite badly… Aquasana Support was prompt to send a replacement but that was leaking also, albeit slower… Support then suggested to swap the cap with another canister and it worked! So far… So gonna knock down a star. Those who have leaking canisters can try to swap the caps and see if it works.

No surprise, easy to change
Ease of use, but not sure the filters work well. Water quality is almost the same when measured by device before and after the filters....

Simple to install, water quality fine, flow rate a bit low
Pros: easy to install, water quality is fine to drink. Before Aquasana I was using Brita over the counter filter and I was getting 160-170 TDS. With Aquasana I am getting almost similar TDS (around 160-170) which is still good. But keep in mind that this filter is not built only to reduce TDS. This filter does what it is designed for. My Tap water was little heavier (230-250 TDS). Probably, just a carbon filter would have been sufficient. But Aquasana 5300.56 is a good affordable filter and two additional filters along with carbon filter won’t do any harm. I, therefore, decided to get this filter. I have read reviews that connections leak after couple of years. I will have to wait and see (I will update if it leaks). So far it is good. Cons: nothing much. Flow rate is a bit low but this is not a kitchen faucet. I found the flow ok for a drinking water faucet. Only challenge for me was to drill a hole in my steel sink and tightening the faucet nut under the sink because it was hard to reach. For drilling I used step drill bit and it was quick. For tightening the nut, I tried basin wrench and needle plier. The plier worked in my case.
