I'm willing to pay a little extra for better quality and something that really should last a lifetime (the rubber seals won't but we'll see). I did find that a magnet will stick to some parts of the container but not all, likely something to do with the manufacturing as it's rolled which may create a bit of a less than even distribution of the materials. Haven't actually done the vinegar test yet (pour a tbsp of vinegar in your "stainless steal" vessel and let it rest for a few minutes - if it tastes like metal - well, metal will leach into your food most notably things that are acidic. high quality stainless will not produce a metallic taste at all. She really likes the colors and how cute they are. She found them convenient because they were small and easy to transport for her meals. She put nuts, jam and cereal in the containers. They did not leak at all and she had no issues opening and closing them. She says in the future she can also use them for dips as well as treats. Initially, I thought each kid could have his/her own container, but I suspect each will want a set of 3. They are great for foods you need in small amounts and want contained. I tend to do a lot of handwashing so while they are dishwasher safe, I have found them so quick and easy to wash by hand. The silicon tops make them easy to stack in the cupboard when not in use.
