Second one purchased
This is the second one purchased for work. First one lasted for a while, but the keyboard finally went out. Instead of trying to fix it I just went ahead and replaced it.

Easy to install and ease of use.
The Logitech combination wireless key board and mouse were suggested to me by a friend in the IT business. I am so happy with the K520 combo he suggested. The price was a "steal" and the ease of setup and use is just what I was looking for. Battery life is very acceptable and the contour of the keyboard is a perfect fit for me. Amazon scored another record delivery for me, the next day after I placed the order. I couldn't be more happy overall with everything connected to this purchase.

junk keyboard, just like everyone else says
Junk, the keyboard connectivity was terrible and just kept getting worse right after the warranty was up. In total I bought 1 brand new and 1 refurb and they both had the same issues. It's SO FRUSTRATING. Don't waste your money. It sucks because I really love the feel of the keyboard.

Looked on Amazon for ideas on which wireless mouse (for a desk top PC) to buy as my previous Logitech wireless one (5+ years old) had gone 'sticky' and I could not resolve it. Up to then had been pleased with Logitech so read reviews and realised I could get a keyboard / mouse combo with a USB unifying receiver, which seemed like a great idea as my previous ones worked from a receiver which, though quite small did have a wire into the computer. Ordered the MK520 combo and usual Amazon efficiency - arrived in 3 days. Unbelievably simply to install - plug in receiver, pull battery tab on both mouse & keyboard and it worked immediately. It took me longer to disconnect the wire of the previous receiver! Keyboard is really classy looking and typing just feels 'nice'. As said by some previous reviewers I am so pleased to get a caps lock key which I did not have before. The mouse suits my hand and I like the rubber sides to it. Mine is not scratchy at all. The most impressive thing is the size of the receiver - very, very tiny. My base unit is on a shelf below the desk - so quite close really and it all works great. I like the idea of the function keys - just need to get used to using them. Also good that keyboard & mouse have on/off switches - if I remember to use them. Have downloaded the software but need to look at it a bit more closely. I would recommend anyone to buy this set up.

I wish Logitech would make more keyboards and mice. These days they seem to think that "it's all mobile" and don't bother with PC users anymore. But we're all still here and use our pcs every day. PCs guarantee the GNU 4 freedoms. Anyway, on with the review. Quality The quality of the materials and build is excellent. The keys are not as soft as I would have liked and are not like a laptop keyboard as I had hoped. They are still quite nice to use though. I can tell the quality is much better than a few years ago. Design - Keyboard A lot of thought has been put into the keyboard but I don't think that it is really for me as such. It has media keys which I need and I wouldn't have bought a keyboard without them but they are not laid out very well. They are all identical and so you can't tell which one you are pressing without manually looking at the label for each one. This makes using them quite slow. They are also the worst keys on the keyboard to touch. The new on / off switches are very nice and work far better than previous models. You can tell whether they are on by looking at the colour of them and I always remember to switch the keyboard and mouse off after each day now. The lack of any other function keys is not a good choice. My old keyboard had dedicated keys for the media program, voip, email etc. This was redundant because you had the function keys F1-F12 but they were easier to use. As with the media keys I have to manually press FN and then look at each symbol before I find the correct one. The keyboard features the forward / back arrows which should be on the mouse. This is a bad choice. I much prefer the two arrow keys to be placed on top of the mouse where they can be toggled very easily. Even having them on the left side is easier than them being on the keyboard. One nice feature is the light on the caps lock key even though it is battery operated. This is an improvement over having to rely on on-screen indicators. There is a dedicated calculator button which I will try and train myself to use over time. Design - Mouse The mouse is a little too small for my hand and I need it to be wider, longer, and taller. Maybe women or small handed people will be okay with it. It has a flashing light to indicate it is on and doesn't need charging. As mentioned the arrow keys are missing and this makes workflow much slower. When going forward / back in the browser I have to manually remove my hand from the mouse and press the arrows on the keyboard, this is very slow. Build quality is excellent and tracking during use is smooth as you'd expect of any laser mouse. Battery life is excellent in the mouse and it only has one battery which is an improvement but it means that the mouse is much too light. Design - Receiver The received is tiny but works perfectly. I've not had any issues with connecting the keyboard / mouse since I got it a few weeks ago. Conclusion Logitech has some way to go to improve workflow, usability and comfort. Having said this I've given it 4 stars as it is perfectly suitable for day to day use. I don't love it like the the LX710 which was the last set I had.

Hi, I bought this combo, because I was used for a decent quality from Logitech, however I'm very disappointed with this one. Key pressure is strange, typing is not natural and platic is poor quality like for a cheapest piece from China. Not worth the money.

So I was on the market to buy a decent keyboard and mouse to use daily to work with. My main requirements were that they had to be wireless and would not break the bank. After some researching, I stumbled upon this combo by Logitech. I tried to find as many reviews as possible and eventually took the plunge, and I sure haven't regretted it. These below are some of my considerations: Keyboard: - Nice travel (spacing between keys) and tactile feedback - Silent keys - I am a software developer, and I have a bad habit of going into a typing frenzy when coding, the last thing I want is to annoy all of my colleagues with the racket coming out of my keyboard whilst I am typing! - Nice slew of inbuilt function keys - Only a small caveat, these work great when the keyboard is hooked to a Windows machine, on a Mac unfortunately only the volume and playback shortcut keys work, I haven't been able to set them using Logitech software. As for Ubuntu and other Linux distros I still haven't had the chance of testing the keyboard on them - Comfortable typing position - even after a whole day typing I am still to feel any discomfort when using the keyboard - Handy On/Off switch right on the keyboard face - I am sure everybody hates having to change batteries in the midst of a task - Possibility of flipping the keyboard on its spine - for when you need the desk estate without having to put the keyboard somewhere else Mouse: - Very comfortable to hold - is contoured in rubber so very comfortable to hold - Buttons and scroll wheel have nice feel to them - Shaped to be used both in right and left handed mode - On/Off switch at the bottom to save on battery life - I haven't experienced once lag using this mouse, though I never had the chance to put it through its paces whilst gaming (I use it at work!). Will update the review once I do Other considerations: - The USB receiver included in the box is perfect, small and nearly invisible once connected. Never had a single issue with signal - Pretty much plug and play - I have hooked the receiver both on Mac and Windows machines and never really had to pair or install the Logitech software to start using both the mouse and they keyboard - Included in the box is a USB extension cord (apart from the batteries required by the keyboard and mouse) - I found this to be a great touch, especially for whoever will hook up the combo to a desktop pc The only niggles I could find on these products are the following: - Function keys do not work on Mac (I am sure this can be fixed by Logitech through their software) - Mouse might go the extra mile with some added buttons All in all this is a superb keyboard and mouse combo, if it weren't that they are not sold separately I would warmly recommend them on their own. This product is reasonably priced (I paid mine around 50 Euros) and excellent value for money
