I didn't want to use night shades because its permanent. This product is definitely gray/smoke and not black. The downside is the finish is satin. I tried using the glossifier on top but it still didn't product a deep gloss. So it gives the car a weird look with gloss paint and satin/dull tail lights. What I love is I can peel it off like nothing ever happened.
