The perfect childhood watercolors
I home-school my three-year-old daughter and we do lots of arts and crafts. Her old watercolors were almost out so I went searching for new ones. I chose these because they are Crayola--which means they're good quality for children--and because they're washable and they come in 16 different colors. These watercolors are the hard kind to which you have to add water. I also have some liquid watercolors that we use, but the liquid watercolors are more of a pain to use and they stain like crazy. These watercolors are easy to use--especially for a preschooler--and they wash out of clothing, which is a very big deal. They come with a paintbrush and 16 different colors: black, blue, red, orange, yellow, green, purple, brown, red-violet, red-orange, yellow-orange, yellow-green, blue-green, turquoise, blue-violet, and white. Of course, you can also get creative and mix them to make even more colors. My daughter's eyes lit up when she saw these and she had so much fun using all of the fun colors. They are vivid and lovely. These are the perfect watercolors for children and a good price as well. They paint well on regular paper, watercolor paper, card stock, and anything we've tried. They get even more fun when you have different types of paintbrushes. These watercolors come in a hard plastic container that has a hinge-type of lid, so you can keep your watercolors protected and store them away easily. You will appreciate that these are washable if you ever use non-washable watercolors. Now I don't have to worry about my preschooler dripping paint on her clothes or splattering it on me and elsewhere in the house. These are a great buy! I'll probably be back for more when ours run out.

Crayola watercolors
FYI, this box only comes with one paint brush. It's not affecting my review since I didn't do my research, but I thought I'd point it out. I wanted two because my kids are sharing it. This paint is working out great for us. My kids are enjoying it. This is their first experience with watercolors, so I wasn't being too picky about quality, but the colors are beautiful and very vibrant. The paintbrush is also decent quality. It seems to be keeping its shape and isn't losing bristles all over the place. Also, the paint seems to wash out of clothes easily.

I am an adult, and I am not ashamed of using paints for little kids :)
I am a young adult who bought these paints for myself. I wanted to get into water painting but didn't want to shell out more money for artist grade paints when I wasn't sure if I would like it. These are actually pretty vibrant colors that I enjoyed painting with. I really like that once the paint dries it does not feel chalky or smear when I pass my hand over it. It feels very smooth and has a nice shiny look to it if looked at from the side. I didn't care much for the brush, so I used one of my own brushes that comes back to a point after using. Obviously a professional artist might not want to paint with these, since they are meant for little kids and may not produce dark enough colors. But I would like to say that you don't need expensive art materials to create a good art. The name "Crayola" screams that this is meant for children, but it doesn't mean older kids or adults can't play around with these paints. The only reason one may want to spend more on higher quality paint would be for their art to last longer. Like I said, I just wanted these to learn how watercolors work and see if I would like it. So if you are like me and don't want to spend too much on art supplies (or not yet at least), then these are not bad. You may want to take a picture of your work before the years pass and your picture fades. For parents and other caregivers who are looking at these for a child, these are great since they are washable. Allowing your kids to try different forms of making art will help them expand their minds and let out their creativity. I rely heavily on reviews when purchasing stuff on the internet and know the importance of writing them as well to help others in their decisions. If you found this review to be informative in any way, please mark as "helpful". I would appreciate it very much! Have a great day!

Awesome watercolors!
I was interested in trying watercolors and was going to get one of the pricier, higher end brands but figured since I've never used them before I'm better off starting off with a cheap inexpensive brand. Ok - while these ARE inexpensive they are not "cheap". They have so much pigment and the colors are so vivid! I was very pleasantly surprised coming from an inexpensive brand like Crayola. I'm totally in love with these watercolors and for now I don't even have any desire to get a higher end brand.

Great Quality For Price, Non Toxic!
These Watercolors are Amazing! They Are Vibrant and Vivid, and the colors do not flake off of the paper after a long period of time. PROS: 1. Vibrant Colors, High Quality 2. Non-Toxic, Great for Children 3. Cheap, Non-Expensive CONS: 1. Not Much Product Included 2. Casing is Cheap, Can Easily Be Broken By Children Overall, These Paints are a great bargain, and i would definitely re-order these products in the future. Best Paints on the market for children!

Great activity for kids
I have two step kids and six nieces and nephews. When they all get together in my house itโs a lot of fun and one of the things i like them to do is arts and crafts. We used these watercolors a lot and go through them pretty quickly. It is a good item for a good price and it provides lots of fun and learning experience for all kinds of ages, even adults. Good color, dries fast.

Great colors
Great colors for little ones, my 3 year old loves this set, only problem I had to buy 6 at the same time. I have plenty left over for friends and cousins. Price was good.

Iโve gotten pretty good myself
Crayolaโs done it again. I donโt know why Iโm surprised. These watercolors are magnificent. Washable, user-friendly, and intensely hued. 16 colors is actually quite deceiving when you consider how many you can mix together to turn into even more colors. Iโve gotten pretty good myself, but Iโm nowhere near the students of Kansas City. We're loaded with young artists. In fact, KC has the third-most participation in the arts per capita in the country. That's a lot of watercolor.

Beautiful
These are truly lovely paints. I bought them for my 7 year old son who is an enthusiastic and very messy artist and I have been looking for child (& parent) friendly watercolours that are not of the usual substandard quality that you find in most sets marketed for children. I am a firm believer in giving children the best quality you can so they are not disappointed with the results of the creative efforts. These do not disappoint - the colours are bright and luminous and they clean up easily. In fact my older children who have been using Windsor & Newton for some years are jealous and asked if I could get some of these for them. It is such a pity that they are not more readily available in the U.K.
