Is it derived from corn or hardwood?

As with any food product: The true ingredient questions should be directed to manufacturers directly. On that note this is from their web site:Corncobs and birch trees are the main sources for commercially produced xylitol. The corn grain is never used and all of the raw materials as well as the finished product are thoroughly tested to ensure purity. XyloSweet® does not contain any residual corn allergens, proteins, mycotoxins or other contaminants. XyloSweet® is produced from non-GMO materials and is gluten-free.

Is it made from birch or corn

John, I did some research & the answer to your question is "both". Its main sources are corncobs & birch trees. The corn grain is never used & it does not contain any residual corn allergens, proteins, mycotoxins or other contaminants. The finished product is thoroughly tested to ensure purity. Xylosweet is produced fron non- GMO materials and is gluten free. Does this help answer yor question?

This is a question for the seller: is this product from china?

If you look at the package in small letters it says that the raw materials are from China and the US but it is packaged in the US.

Xylitol comes from birch trees, erythritol comes from corn, so isn't this product actually erythritol?

Ingredients: 100% pure xylitol.
