My husband and I bought this and another brand for our 3-week trip to the African continent. Our trip included a seven-day safari, so we needed a soft-sided bag without a frame. The bag was a perfect size to hold three weeks' worth of clothing (we were able to do laundry) for diverse locales: safari, city, and resort. Using the wheels works best when the bag is full and for taller people (I had to heft the end handles up to my armpit level to wheel effectively, but I'm only 5'1"). I truly appreciated the wheels, as the full bag was too heavy for me to carry. The porters who helped us with our bags at our many destinations appreciated the sturdy straps. In light of some of the reviews, I packed duct tape in case the bag rubbed on the ground and got holes. But no holes! It was durable and sturdy, even after being hauled in and out of multiple vehicles and being thrown around and dragged quite a bit. Nice bag.

This bag is a good size and seems well made - but the smell makes it practically unusable. I set it outside hoping to air it out and then put some stuff inside it hoping to use it for an upcoming trip. It made all the stuff I put inside of it smell just as chemically strong and I had to rewash everything. I am not sure how to explain the smell - it is like gasoline almost. So strong, that if the bag is in my closet I can smell it when I walk by. I thought it would start to go over time, but after a month, it still smells terrible. I finally just put outside in the rain and left it hoping eventually the smell will fade. Who knows if I will ever be able to use it. I would not recommend buying.

While traveling, I was gifted with a rather large item. I needed to buy something to fit this item in as the airline did not allow boxes. I looked for the biggest duffel possible and ended up with this one. I was able to pad my item securely with loose clothing, and the duffel worked just fine. It fit the item and I was able to transport it through the airport with no problem. It was easily found on the conveyor belt at the other end and it held up very well. I really like that it can fold right up into a tiny cylinder and I can pack it in another suitcase or carry-on, If I want to bring more items back with me. This is a big feature when you live somewhere expensive and buy overseas and bring stuff home.

This holds a lot of clothes, but the design of the handle means you can’t drag it without hitting the back of your legs - I’m covered in bruises. Also the handle used to pull the bag is very poor quality and has come apart after only one use. This bag was not cheap and I am incredibly disappointed.

I bought this bag mainly because the weight was mentioned as 1.34 kgs for the 85L under Product Details in the Amazon website. When I weighed the bag after I received it, the weight was 2kgs! I used two different bag weighing scales to make sure. I bought the bag for my travel soon and therefore unable to return it. This is DISAPPOINTING ! Amazon should get this corrected.
