First. The sound... This head unit has outstanding sound reproduction and the 9 band equalizer is outstanding to dial your system in. It has frequency cut-offs, and wave adjustability. The subwoofer control is the first option when you hit the music note. That is nice as that is the only thing I adjust after the equalizer is set. The phone/mic sounds outstanding. Just like talking right into the phone. Layout is fine, but will take a little time to get familiar with, just like any unit with many features. FM sounds like a CD even with my antenna extension disabled for looks. I still get every channel is perfect sound. My Android connected very fast and with ease. One mild frustration...It auto plays Google playback when the phone is selected as a sound source. Makes it take longer to get Pandora running. The shine on this unit does make it difficult to see in the sun in my convertible and the color on the buttons are only visible when the sun is down or stereo in shade. Otherwise the buttons look like a glass color even if set on bright gold/yellow. The display is not affected as much by the sun. I love the brushed aluminum on the bottom half. Looks really nice. Finding files on my USB drive is very quick and easy. I would not chose any other deck with the similar options. Alpine did a great job on this with quality of sound being top notch IMHO. One thing that would be great. Make the whole deck brushed aluminum to decrease the super shine which reflects light too much. Overall, I have to give this 5 stars as I can't think of any other unit I like better in the same category of receivers.

This is an excellent product, one of the best auto stereos Alpine has released on it's medium range of products. So easy to install, with crisp, powerful audio. It has a very clean design which I love, functional and great bluetooth conectivity. This stereo gave my Camry new life. I've been an Alpine fan since the 1980's, when they used Lamborghini in their ads, this is the best I've bought from them.

Solid unit. I wish it had a rear USB connection. Overall a great unit, but like many double-din, non-touchscreen models - it feels dated. Companies seem to role these out well after the single-din model and do not refresh the model for many product cycles. It feels like a unit from 2010 or earlier. I have a single-din Alpine unit for my truck from 2011 - lacking bluetooth audio, that is superior in every other way. Most important feature of the CDE-W265BT is, unlike many electronics these days, it works and it work well. Sound is excellent whether from radio, disc, streaming, or digital media. Biggest let down for me was the lack of rear USB for the iPod, my wiring adaption, feels like, looks like, and is a an unnecessary hack. The only rear connections are for the bluetooth mic and for a wired remote (handy for steering wheel control adapters). Pros: Bright screen, others hate it - perfect in a convertible when the sun is out. I tried a touch screen model previously from Kenwood, that screen was completely washed out Clear and bright sound. The levels to the amp are quite high which has largely eliminated chassis hum that existed with previous radio. Volume adjustment by source. This is great because the iPod has a low signal level. Bluetooth audio connection is painless. Good build quality. Reasonably fast processor - can flip through iPod songs quickly. The iPod loads quickly when starting the car. Cons: No rear USB. I have a wire plugging into the front that feeds back behind the unit. Needless to say this does not look fabulous. USB MP3 system is a bit odd - missing many functions. Connecting to an old iPod Classic is far superior and adds several search and display features not available via USB. Pandora via bluetooth does not seem to work with Android. I can play Pandora using the phone via bluetooth audio, but not via the Pandora headunit function. Via bluetooth audio I can skip Pandora songs, but I can not change stations.Hate to say it, the Pandora function via my Buick stock radio is superior.

pretty easy installation. make sure you get the right trim kit that fits your vehicle. lots of options. the hands free bt calling works great. I used this unit with an mrvf300 so can't comment on the 18w rms to normal speakers. Takes a few days to figure out all the different controls but you could just read the manual as well. I did not have to cut away any brace material in my car like fitment sites said. very happy with it.

This unit cannot pick up most radio stations. One town over it cannot find local radio stations. So if you used the radio. You will be very disappointed. If you use your phone for music a very good unit. I plan on returning mine. Only because I like to listen to local radio in the morning on way to work. The sub control tho with this unit is excellent. So really it is only about the lack of FM reception. That I mark this down to three stars
