It is easy to assemble, provides a nice soft light, and seems pretty sturdy, and the rods and box are one piece, so you don't have to worry about keeping track of 20 rods. I would definitely recommend this for a budget-minded photographer, or a beginner to flash photography.One word of caution, when putting the box together, be careful about the force you use to snap the rods into place along the Bowens mount. If you use too much force you may damage the rods. ### ⭐⭐ 2.0 out of 5 stars This thing is a HUGE pain to set up and take down. *by A***D on Reviewed in the United States on October 20, 2020* I've been a professional photographer for over 10 years, and have used a wide variety of softboxes. I was impressed with the reviews on this particular one, and went ahead and made the purchase. Once I opened it, I noticed problems right away.1) One of the metal support ribs was broken from the start, and the company hasn't responded to any of the three support requests I've sent. Customer service seems to be non existent.2) The whole umbrella works on a pressure system, and you have to pull super hard on every, single, individual spoke just to get the thing open. It is NOT a quick and easy process whatsoever.3) The whole thing is actually quite heavy and bulky. It's not streamlined in any way, and because manually forcing every single umbrella rib is such a hassle, I never want to set it up. Once I do have it set up, I never want to bother to take it down. And I don't say that lightly. It's not laziness. It's really just that much of a pain.I gave it two stars vs one star because the softbox grid it comes with is actually quite nice. Overall though, I'm extremely unhappy with my purchase. Yes, it's not priced as high as some pro softboxes. But I've been happier working with much lighter, one-push umbrellas that cost me half what this one costs. I am looking to replace this one as soon as possible. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5.0 out of 5 stars So far, so good *by A***R on Reviewed in the United States on October 13, 2019* I've only used this a few hours, but so far is seems really good. the setup is super quick and easy, its nice being able to lock all the poles from the rear so you can fold it or open it without having to un-velcro and remove the internal and external diffuser between locations if you move around a lot. the poles can be a little difficult to latch and unlatch because of tension, but because of that tension the dome and front is tight and does not move a whole lot. the light spreads nicely and evenly. The included bag is very nice for storage and travel.
