Econoco Economy Z-Rack, Collapsible, Orange, 64" L x 24" W x 70" H

I really like the rack. I wish I had gotten the black base, but they were out of stock at the moment. It can be a bit unsightly, but bear in mind that this thing is huge. Take into consideration the dimensions and make sure that your space will be able to accommodate it. This thing is industrial strength! Bear in mind that this rack comes without instructions and it's assembly required. BUT, it does come with the tools (small wrench for nuts, and an allen key for tightening the bolts that will attach the Z part), and it's super simple to figure out how to assemble it once you look at the picture. If you need help with it, send an "Ask question" to me, and I'll be glad to try and document it as best as I can. The only complaint about it is that the wheels are a bit stiff, even though they are rubber. They do slightly smell like off-gassing Chinese rubber factory, but not nearly as bad as stepping into a Harbor Freight & Tools store. How much can you fit on this rack? I'd say I have around 30 men's shirts, 5 blazers, 2 harringtons, 4 pairs of chinos, 3 pairs of jeans, and around 8 pieces of outerwear on it. I'm not sure how heavy that is, but it's heavy duty. This is very functional more than visually pleasing, but hey, I love that it works well and can hold up my entire wardrobe.

I wanted a nice long clothes rack for my laundry area in the basement. I didn't want anything flimsy so after reading a significant number of reviews, I settled on this rack. PROS: o *VERY* heavy duty. o Nice big casters; two that can be locked to prevent rolling. o Can accommodate two hanging bars (optional lower bar below upper bar). o Not very difficult to assemble (however see comments below). CONS: o No variable height adjustment (not an issue for me). o Included tools did not properly fit included fasteners. The company delivered it very promptly. It is a *very* sturdy rack, I will never tax it at all hanging pants and shirts on it. I'd be willing to bet you could load this up with whatever you wanted to throw at it, and you would run out of hanging space long before it would show any sign of stress. I could do chin ups on this thing. (Well, if I *could* do chin ups LOL ). It *is* large, especially with the 12" height extension tubes which make it 6 feet 9 inches high. I only added them because I got the optional second bar from which to hang things, and I wanted the extra height so the lower bar has more room above the floor. The Z shape is a bit different looking but I didn't buy it for aesthetics, I wanted function and durability. The assembly instructions are, as others mentioned, of practically no use... but if you have even a modicum of mechanical ability, just look at the picture on the Amazon web page and you can figure out how the two ends and the Z crossbar bolt together, and how wheels bolt on, and that's pretty much all you need to know. The supplied Allen wrench did not properly fit the Allen screws provided, and the wrench did not properly fit the nuts to bolt on the wheels, so I did have to resort to my own tools for assembly, which some would not have on hand and this would probably cause them inconvenience and annoyance. But overall, given that this thing is built like a tank and will definitely outlast me, I am *very* pleased with it. Matter of fact, I just ordered two for my sister for her birthday, which is a pretty good endorsement!!!

When I bought this it's listed price was a bit under $30 and with the shipping it came in just under $70, but even with all that it's well worth the money. Went together in a total of I think half an hour with a minimal amount of fuss (mostly me fiddling to get the nuts to start threading on the bolts due to clumsy-numb fingers) The center of the Z goes on first, then the wheels, then you put in the long upright bars, clamp on the secondary cross beam wherever you like (I have it near the bottom to hold my empty hangars and smaller stuff) and then you choose whether or not to put on the extra foot long extensions to the upright bar (without them, it can roll through my doorway, with them it can't) and then you pop on the upper cross beam that is well over my head. (I'm 5'6") I had three smaller garment racks that were very flimsy and kept falling over on me, this one rack holds everything that was on the others with room to spare, hasn't even so much as threatened to tip on me, and still rolls easy as pie. I can very well believe the weight limit it lists as it is VERY solidly built with the pipe ends nesting into each other for at least several inches, and twice as much at the base of the thing. The only complaint I have is that the nuts for the cross beam require you to have your own adjustable wrench as they don't match the other nuts included in the kit for putting the base together because they're a size or two smaller. I can also tell it will be just as easy to take it apart again later if I ever have to move again.

We have added this to our household because we lack closet space and have family members moving back in temporarily. We took all of my husbands hanging clothes out of his closet and the contents of a coat closet and put all those things on this rack. I read many reviews before deciding on this heavy duty rack and SO glad we got it. It solved the dilemma of lack of hanging space and it's in our finished basement. We have four seasons here, and many of our winter coats, leather coats and a heavy garment bag hang on here with no problems! This thing is rock solid and even rolls on our high pile shaggy carpet beautifully. It didn't take the husband too long to put it together either. I highly recommend this rack. I did have an oops and got the orange but it's no biggie; it's not like it's in a prominent room; one could even spray paint the bottom if desired. I threw a fabric shower curtain over the top of the clothes to prevent dust and it covers the clothing about 80%. I see there are plastic covers for these, but didn't find it necessary in the finished basement. Do not hesitate; this is a stea at this price! The flimsy ones are a waste of time.

We bought this rack for hanging coats and outer wear. It seems pretty sturdy but is a bit bigger than I anticipated. The depth (front to back) is 24" - 25" depending on if you include the part of the wheel that sticks out a bit. This is nice for making sure you have room for bigger items but would be a consideration if you are trying to fit it into a tight space. I ordered it on Monday and it was delivered Thursday morning via FedEx. I did get a shipping status email, tracking information and it came when expected. I read the other reviews prior to purchase and now understand the consistent message about "bad instructions". A few things to remember when putting this together - Assemble the orange Z FIRST ~ BEFORE THE WHEELS. If you put the wheels on first you can't unscrew the bolts that hold the orange Z together. -When putting the wheels together it goes ~ Wheel, washer, put bolt through the hole on the orange part, ring, nut. Although you can sus this out from the instruction, it's not blatantly apparent. -When assembling the upright poles, the end with the "button" goes on top; the longer narrow end on the bottom, fitting into the orange piece. I couldn't make this detail out from the instruction but it becomes apparent if you look at the top horizontal piece. -This will definitely be able to be broken down for storage if/when needed. Something to consider is if you have space to store the orange Z whole (with wheels and the end brackets) or if you'll need to break it down. If you need to break the orange Z down, you may want to consider only "hand tightening" the nut & bolts on the wheels. It seems like it would be sturdy enough hand tightened but might need re-tightened every once in awhile. Based on what I found online and have looked at in stores this is a bargain at @ $70.00 + free shipping. I will be ordering another.

Excellent product! It's well worth the price which isn't too expensive anyway! This is my second purchase of the same product! It is made in the USA and is as strong if not stronger than advertised. I have well over 400 lbs of clothing upon it and it moves effortlessly without falling apart like the cheaply built imported ones these replaced. Easily assembled, looks great in any room, closet, store, etc.and is even easier to move. Takes the weight off my shoulders and my 400lbs of clothes+hangers=money well spent!!! BUY THIS AMERICAN MADE PRODUCT AND BE HAPPY YOU DID!!! 😁UPDATE😁 so I've now purchased three of these garment racks and I have to say the consistency in manufacturing as well as the integrity and style is a reason for my second and third purchase of the same!! Econoco Commercial Rolling Z Rack has definitely set the bar in ease of assembly, use, quality, price and style! If you pass this product by in search of a better deal I don't believe you'll find one and will regret not buying what I have found through trial and error to be the best on the market! Don't go through what I did in searching for the best built garment rack by purchasing many subparagraph racks only to watch them fail but use my shortcomings to your advantage and save the money, hassle and frustration by purchasing the products from ECONOCO that I've found to be the best on Amazon or the internet!! I use a clothes rack to hang my clothes on as I take them out of the drier in the garage. After going through two other less expensive rolling racks, I was hesitant to get this at a higher price. The first two were flimsy, had cheap wheels that broke and eventually crashed down with my clean clothing on board. When this one arrived (in a very speedy manner, I might ad), it was evident upon opening that much higher quality materials were used in making this rack. My husband put it together with only a couple of minor issues as the directions are drawings only without any written instructions. Once assembled, I knew I was going to love it. It is quite sturdy and stable with the 'z' bottom frame. The wheels are sturdy and roll easily in whatever direction you want. The middle bar is adjustable in height and doesn't slide with the weight of the clothing once tightened. It can handle dozens of shirts and pairs of slacks at once. The only small issue that I have with it is that the brakes on the wheels don't hold them tightly, so the unit still moves a bit if you push it with the brakes on. Overall, however, this is a quality rack and I am so happy that we went ahead and spent a little extra. We got a much higher quality rack that is still working great after 6 months of heavy duty use. Highly recommended.

I bought one and then realized that I need another... These are the BEST racks that I have ever purchased. I have tried everything also, from cheap to expensive - This rack is strong and I was able to place 150 items on it without any worry of falling or collapsing. I came back - same day this was delivered - to buy another. LOVE LOVE LOVE! UPDATE: AUG 8th 2019 I know have 6 racks, ALL if which are flawless and troublesome free. I am ordering 2 more. I have a Poshmark store (availableby) and these are great for storing items, keeping them wrinkle free and fast grabbing for same day shipping. I LOVE THESE - One of the best Amazon purchases. Thank you seller, Crystal UPDATE: I am now the proud owner of 4 racks with 2 more on it's way. I love these so much, it is ridiculous how AMAZING they are and the amount of clothing they hold. I use them for personal and business. I needed to rearrange my closet and didn't want to lay everything on my bed (not enough room) so I used a few to take from closet to race and was able to very quickly and easily clean out and arrange my personal closet. I can't say enough about how great these are and I am not much of one to write lengthy reviews. ;-)
