Women's Easy Reader Watch

Have been wearing this watch style for over 35+ years. Love that you can push the button to see time in the dark, its not digital, battery last a year or longer, easy to read & I like the look of it. My only issue is that the watch band doesn't last anywhere as long as the watch & its getting harder to find replacements for them unless you go to jewelry store If you have had it for a while it's just cheaper to buy another new one You can have the more expensive watches these are little work horses that do not disappoint.

I wanted a minimalist style of watch that's easy to read (I wear glasses and still find some watches harder to read than others). I'm in Australia - I ordered this around Boxing Day 2016 and it arrived around 4 Jan 2017 in Australia, in a small box and all in tact. It was easily removed from the box, and I just clicked the little button open on the side and turned the dial to set the time, popped the button back into place and it immediately went to work. I like that button to push on the side for the glow in the dark option, so I can see at night. The numbers are large enough to read, the band is extremely comfortable and I hardly even know I'm wearing it, and the clock face is small/dainty enough for women to wear but large enough that I can read the numbers and see the hands and the seconds-hand also. I'd recommend this for someone wanting an easy to wear watch. I'm using this for work in an office environment, but I also like the minimalist style, and monochrome is always a classic! Very happy with this watch, even though I've only owned it for under a week...it's got a 1 year warranty on it so we'll see if it stands the test of time. For what I've paid, it's a perfectly good watch for wearing to work or out & about. I just wish they sold the same watch in the brown leather band with rose gold trim and black numbers...apparently that doesn't ship to Australia, but then, I'm not complaining because this is always a classic colour anyway.

I wanted a watch that the battery would last longer than six months. This is it. The greatest part about the band itself is that it is longer than most and will fit larger wrists which has been a problem with watchbands. It is a great watch.

Love the Indiglo feature, but the battery lasted only two years. I expected more from a Timex. Easy to read and fits my small wrist.

I couldn't be happier with this wrist watch. I can easily read the numbers on the face without fishing around for my reading glasses. The indigo light was a nice bonus as I didn't know about that feature when I ordered it. Just the touch of the side button turns on the display for as long as the button is pressed. I am surprised with how soft the band is. My wrist is on the smaller side, I utilize the 3rd hole in to fasten and there is plenty of room. It claims to have a 10 year battery life- so far so good but I did just get this watch. I found it to be a very good value.

Have worn this model and loved it for many years. It's lightweight, doesn't get in the way and keeps time perfectly. When the band finally started wearing out at the same time the battery finally gave out I decided to use an Amazon gift card to get a new one for free (if I hadn't had the gift card I'd definitely have replaced band and battery on the old one because I love this watch so much). I have worn it while gardening, exercising, doing all kinds of DIY projects and it has held up to all kinds of banging around. It has gotten splashed with water numerous times from the garden hose and once accidentally dropped in the goldfish pond for 30 minutes and lived up to the Timex "keeps on ticking" motto. My new watch looks identical in every respect to my old one, for once it seems a company has kept a good thing going. It's keeping perfect time so far (6 weeks) and on close inspection I can't detect any signs of cheapening/substitution in the manufacturing from my old one. It's a pretty, classic design, watch face size and shape are perfect for my taste, not too big or too small, and the font used for the numbers is very attractive so I don't feel like such an "old lady" for wanting an "Easy Reader" watch. Some commenters write that the band on the current watch is shorter than older versions, attaching photo of my old (10+ years) and new ones, length is exactly the same on mine. Some commenters write that the watch band is too short, period - laid out flat band + watch + buckle = 8 inches. Fastened using the second hole from the end the circumference of band + watch = 7.5 inches, so if your wrist is on the larger/thicker side I do recommend you measure your wrist and current watch before you order. I have a 6 inch wrist and buckle on the 3rd or 4th hole depending on what I'm doing. Some commenters write that the band is too stiff - if you've had this watch before, the new one feels exactly like the old one did when you started. It is a bit stiff at first (hey, for this price I don't expect glove leather!) but after a month it's already getting a lot more flexible day by day just as the old one did, just needs a breaking-in period. Working the band with your fingers a bit every day before putting on and after taking off speeds up the process, massaging in a drop or three of Lexol speeds it up too. Again, I'm fine with that for this price! All in all I'm super-happy to find that this is the same pretty and practical watch I have loved for years. Thank you Timex!

This was the perfect watch. I needed something simple for work. It fits my small wrist the face is a smaller size and yet I can see it. The watch has the date, time, second hand, and lights up. It is accurate durable and lightweight on your wrist. I got a great watch that was a great value.

Bottom line: this Timex watch stops working after about a year. Do not waste your time or money buying the watch and definitely do not buy the Asurion protection plan. This is the third time in 5 years I have bought this $34-$40 Timex watch for my 90 + year old mother. She really likes them even if they do stop working within one to two years. And yes, she takes very good care of them. The second time around (Dec2024) I also purchased the 2 year Asurion so-called protection plan for $3.99. When the watch stopped working (“movement failure”) in Oct 2025 , I tried to make a claim. Long story kind of short is that Asurion advised that the watch is still under the Timex warranty and that in order for them to pay the claim, I would need a denial of claim letter from Timex. When buying the protection plan, there is no reference to this being an extended warranty. In fact, they talk about how easy it is to make the claim. What a joke. I wanted to see how this process worked (I am a retired insurance manager) so I contacted Timex. They required photos of the watch and eventually advised that I needed to send (they pay) the watch to an offshore (!) manufacturing plant for repair where the process might take 2 to 3 months at most. There is also some reference to potential fees for said repair. How ridiculous is this for a $34 watch. Technically speaking, I understand. But really? I contacted Asurion again and they just repeatedly referred to the terms and conditions of the protection plan, which, when purchasing requires further “clicking” to get to any details. However, they do indicate that movement failure is covered. And frankly, for $3.99 I wonder who is reading the protection plan terms and conditions. False advertising? Scam? Definitely a joke. Bottom line: this Timex watch stops working after about a year. Do not waste your time or money buying the watch or especially the Asurion protection plan.

Excellent wrist watch. Large numbers enables to see time clearly. Indiglo (Night light) helps view clear dials and hands. Only dampener is that mfg is old.
