Very comfortable shoes I like it for hiking

Very comfortable, I owned these back before they where discontinued and am very excited to see caterpillar bring them back. Simply put they where the best pair of shoes I have ever owned. They are incredibly comfortable and stay that way because the wide base of the sole keeps a consistent stable platform. Now I just hope that new shoes last as long as the old ones which was over five years of comfort. Amazing shoes if they hold up the same

As far as durability this shoes are by far the best . I definitely recommend cat shoes/boots all day everyday.

Pros and Cons for the discerning buyer: Pros - This shoe adds about 15% to your normal footprint with an aggressive tread. You'll stand about an inch taller than wearing normal tennis shoe/hikers. The pearl grey looks great, and this shoe will provide some tremendous traction in dirt, gravel, and some kinds of rock. This shoe WILL get noticed because of the unique design. Kudos to CAT! Cons - The material that the tread is made of is slippery on very flat surfaces and maybe even worse on wet flat surfaces. Shoelaces will need to be replaced as they look to be very wimpy. The color is great if you can find the pearl grey . . . but it seems to only exist overseas. And whoever designed the other color schemes that this shoe comes in should be fired. It MAY be Stevie Wonder choosing CAT's colors. The good outweighs the bad, but you may slip and bust your a$$ on some surfaces. Maybe this will change as the tread gets ruffed and worn a bit. Even with the cons, I'd give the shoes a 4 1/2, but I can't, so they get a five-star rating for incredible innovation. I have NEVER seen a tennis shoe/hiker quite like this! Be prepared for a long wait to get them shipped from overseas. Worth the wait though.
