On my Pentair Intelliconnect this prevents the water heater from turning on. When I got this I removed the old temperature sensor wires and hooked this one up to make sure it was the old sensor that was the problem and not the Intelliconnect. Luckily about 30 seconds after connecting it, the water temperate read as the ambient temperature so I knew that it was working. As others had mentioned, the washer did not work well so I had a small water leak after I reinstalled everything. I put on the old washer and everything was fine. The washer seemed ok so I'm not sure what the problem was. It's a very easy installation. The hardest part was trying to push the wires into the wire terminals without being able to see what I was doing and routing the long cable so that it wasn't a tripping hazard.
