About half an inch will stick out at the top. If that's what you want, these are fine — but I am having a hard time imagining under what circumstances anyone would want to protect all but half an inch of a piece of paper :) They are fully wide enough, with some room to spare (which makes it easy to insert pages, so that's helpful) and the plastic is nice and thick for durability. Dry erase markers work great on them. If these weren't listed as being "legal size" they'd be fantastic overall, but that's a pretty fundamental flaw! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Served its purpose *by M***B on Reviewed in the United States on May 15, 2021* It barely just fits legal sized documents. I don’t like that a small part of the document is exposed to potential damage. Other than that it does it’s job. I wish it was a little more sturdy or thicker. I don’t appreciate the fact that whoever packaged it decided to fold them in half to put them in a padded envelope.
