The portion for the ball of your foot is just slightly narrow...not surprising, most heels are a little, the problem is that the toe strap is not attached at where the strap meets the footbed...it’s only at the sole of the shoe at the bottom of the platform. When I stood in the shoe the balls of my feet hung over the sides a little bit while the edge of the foot bed dug in uncomfortably. It would have been perfect had the toe strap been attached in both places. Sad day, I didn’t really want to say goodbye to these pretty shoes. So if you have really narrow feet these would be fine. My feet aren’t wide...just not narrow (for reference and context). ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Compliments every time I wear them! *by A***A on Reviewed in the United States on June 10, 2015* I bought these shoes in Beige as well as Red and Black. I was looking for a high-heeled espadrille that I could wear all day, and this is it! The heel height is perfect for me at about 3" after taking into account the height of the platform. There was no break-in time required. The front upper is a bit stiff, and I expected it to give me blisters, but it didn't at all. After walking a mile or so in these shoes (according to the step count on my phone), my tender winter feet felt a bit raw on the bottom from rubbing against the jute, but I imagine that will subside after the shoes (and my feet) are broken in and the jute softens up. If not, adding one of those sticky pads that cushions the ball of the foot should solve the problem. Sizing was as expected. I know my European size to be mostly 38 but sometimes a 37, so I ordered both sizes and preferred the 38. In the Escala shoe by the same maker, in contrast, I preferred the 37. I have wide feet with a narrow heel, and found these shoes to be plenty wide enough for me. The ties in the back make it easy to get a custom fit if the foot is between sizes. My only criticism is that the colors of the shoe were inconsistent - the front part of the upper (greenish beige) didn't match the back (a tan/white weave that coordinates well with the jute), and the ties (purplish cool beige) didn't match either the front or the back. It wasn't so bad that I returned them, but it's why I can't give it 5 stars. The Red ones and Black ones didn't have the same problem. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Really Cute! *by A***N on Reviewed in the United States on May 26, 2014* Love! They are so cute and comfortable. I wear a size 6 and their size 5.5-6 fit just right. The only thing is, I wanted the shoe to do alot of walking in and the heel may be a little too high for that. I am keeping because they are comfortable overall and very cute. I will update you on how these worked out for my trip. I may purchase the other one that looks just like this one but with a lower heel. The shoes were packaged very nicely also.
