Absolutely love this bread
Absolutely love this bread. I do camping and I’ve had no problems. It’s very thick and heavy bread little cream cheese, a little toasted. Oh my gosh, numb numb numbs.

Open both ends of the can and use one of the can tops to push the bread out
Excellent dark bread and can be stored for emergencies. Putting the unopen can in hot water for a few moments help it to be removed from the can.

Dry and had a weird taste to it.
This was a staple in my childhood household and I loved it so when I saw it was being sold here I ordered some. It was very dry not moist like I had as a child and later in life as I would order it from Famous Foods. I was disappointed because with Amazon I get free shipping but would rather pay shipping than eat the brown bread they sell.

Tastes great, what I could get out of can.
While I read that many found the bread dry, I thought it was as I remember it from years ago. However, it was the pits trying to get it out of the can. I took off both lids, ran a long table knife around the edges to loosen it from the can, just as I did years ago, and it still wouldn't budge. Finally put one lid back on and hit it with a hammer. That got it out, but in three pieces. I enjoyed eating the five slices I ended up with. The rest was too broken up to slice.
