More expensive benches come that way out of the box, but this one does not. As a result, the appearance of the leg/hip support pad is not not so amazing, but this thing was well over 100 dollars cheaper than the cheapest comparable bench.It is rock solid when the nuts and bolts are properly tightened and works perfectly. Since it works so well I decided to perform the equipment surgery, as I have no desire to return it.The foot catch is a bit wobbly, because the pipe it is on is square instead of rectangular, but is perfectly functional.
