desertcart.com: Breaking Meredith: A Dark Romance (Disciples Book 4) eBook : Sweet, Izzy, Moriarty, Sean: Kindle Store Review: Worth Waiting For <3 Absolutely adore Simon and Meredith :) - OMG, this book was definitely worth the wait. Initially I was only interested in Simon (by far my favorite character along with Lucifer) and the other returning characters, and it did take me a bit to care about Meredith. But once I did I saw how perfect she was for Simon and I was rooting for her the rest of the book. Simon truly is a germophobe and loves everything in the proper place, but it was funny how Meredith used that to irritate him and to shake him out of being indifferent towards her. It was great seeing the other characters again, though I would've liked seeing the children a bit more (especially Adam and Abigail). As for Meredith, on one hand you could sort of understand her hatred for the brother, on the other hand it did make me wonder why she didn't bother to get all the facts, and she was a little naive to me when it came to "her purpose in life" and her "targets" and thinking she was nothing like her brother when they were similar in some ways (read to book to get it ;) ). Anyways, the ending was satisfying, and I feel like the book is a bit bloodier than the last one, but it was also very cool and the people deserved what came to them in my opinion. The fact that a new/returning enemy is making things interesting, and the introduction of Lucifer's hellhound makes me very excited for the next book. I definitely recommend this book to readers. Review: Simon's story ❤ - I read this via my ku subscription and am leaving my review voluntarily. This is part of a series and features characters from earlier books and could be read as a standalone but is more enjoyable if you read in order. Triggers: violence, murder, torture **spoilers** I was happy to see Simon get his own story. His character was well written and interesting in previous books. Simon works for Lucifer. He has a knack for information collecting and he is a germaphobe. Simon has been watching over Meredith, Lucifer's estranged sister for years. Meredith is Lucifer's sister. She hates him after witnessing a violent incident with him years prior. She despises all of his men for their ways. Fast forward, Meredith gets into trouble and runs to Lucifer for help. Typical hypocrite- she hates his violent ways but when she gets herself in a jam, after murdering someone no less, she runs to her brother. I could not get into Meredith's character for the first 50% ? of the story. I kept hoping she would die off or just leave. She is unpleasant, with a holier than thou attitude. While putting her brother down for his behavior, she herself has indulged in questionable behavior but justifies it because "she's only ruining bad men". I eventually was able to tolerate her but still wouldn't have minded if she had died off. Lots of action, violence, murder and sexy time as this is all part of Lucifer's world. Looking forward to reading about Gabriel, Simons brother.

Epic Read
Simon, I did not know you had it in you even though I keep telling myself 'the quiet ones are the ones to keep an eye out for'. Well I must say that you surpass my expectations of you Simon, and it was really enjoyable and memorable reading about you and Meredith. I love Meredith's character of the strong female who is able to fend and protect herself, but there is still that little girl inside that needs the approval and support of family and friends every now and then. Although her relationship with her brother Lucifer is a bit strained at the moment, I just love that he is still protective of her and only want the best for her, no matter how angry she is with him. Now, I really enjoy the challenge she is to Simon on every level and how much she does to thwart him and get him to reveal the man behind the mask he shows everyone. The unraveling of their relationship although hilarious, was just beautiful and endearing to read about. The way they get under each other's skin and fight tooth and nail to keep their emotions and feelings under lock and key was emotional and pretty intense. The comrade of the disciples team members on the revelation of Simon's status was just comical and entertaining. I love how much they have each other's back and how far they will go to protect each other no matter what. It's even great to get a look into how Simon is able to know things before they even happen at times and how much of a hold he has a pulse on everything happening around them. That wide reach is pretty amazing. I hope and pray that this is not the last of the disciples. Please let there be more to come. Will James end up with the chiefs daughter and how much of a role will Gabriel play and his story.

A bit too spicy
I couldn't enjoy this book as much as others due to the inclusion of partner violence and demonization of autistic traits. However, in the context of this universe its plausible so I don't regret finishing the novel. Thanks to tiktok I started with #5 so I also know the missing background of why Gabriel and Simon are so messed up. Each taking the opposite trauma response to childhood abuse ect. I've also read a few rebellion is everything female leads before which make no damn sense to me. Meredith is given just enough flavor to explain her actions and make it seem real, rather than just a personality flaw for plot convienece.

This book gave me utter laughter. Simon is hilarious and I would love to have him. I love how much Meredith tested his absolute patience and how much she made him loose his mind. I loved everything about these two. This has been my favourite book so far from this series. The plot was great. I’m so so glad everything worked out between them both and meridith got her wished for child and Simon got his woman. Honestly book was incredible. Simon is by far my most favourite character from this series!

I loved everything about this one. The character's especially. Meredith was very entertaining and Simon was the best male character I have come across in a very long time. The crazy, possessive, jealous, controlling, sexy, strong alpha that make the best heroes in romance books. A perfect escape! Need more stories like this.

This dark and action packed romance really does deliver! Two strong stubborn leads very set in their ways, who've been thrust together. He wants to protect he, as he's done for five years, she wants out from under her brothers influence. Well paced and well written this book is full of suspense, just the right amount of darkness and hot romance in between. They're two people who shouldn't work but do. One thing is clear though, you don't get between their love... not if you want to live another day.

If you like very JP books then this is defo for you. All the books in this series so far have been very JP books with lots of twist, action, slight darkness but not to much as I like mine super dark. Simon is the tech nerd with a edge he’s not just a nerd he’s brutal when someone messes with his princess. Simon was so possessive he had not intention of her not getting pregnant he wanted it just like all the other men in this series!! Has a mafia feel to it Dark JP Non con Dub con Twists And a whole lot of hot scenes

Love this series but the editing was terrible! It’s “I’d rather” not I rather! So annoying.
