The “what if Elsa never knew Anna was her sister?” premise immediately raises the stakes, and the story leans into isolation, fear, and power in a way the original only hints at. Elsa’s arc is especially compelling here—more conflicted, more dangerous, and more human. The pacing is solid, the world-building is richer, and the emotional moments hit harder because the consequences feel real. It doesn’t feel like a cheap remix; it feels like an alternate universe done right. If you like darker retellings with real character depth and a slightly edgy tone, this is one of the stronger Twisted Tale entries. Worth the read, even if you know the original story by heart. Review: Great books - Loved the whole series

Made me enjoy the story of Frozen!
5 out of 5 stars for making me love Frozen! This was the 3rd book in the Twisted Tale that I've read, and I love it just as much as the others in the series. I will admit that Frozen isn't one of my favorites in the Disney archive, I thought that this one brought an interesting and beautiful twist to the story that we all know and love. Elsa, has become the Queen of her country and is just as alone, until one day, she finds the existence of the a girl named Anna and is determined to find out who she is. Anna, is the daughter of a baker in the village, who knows nothing of her true past until the King and Queen pass and she thrust into finding out her past, no matter the cost. The story was very well written, as most of the stories are in the Twisted series. I found myself enjoying this version of Frozen even more than the movie. I even found myself enjoying Kristoff and agreeing that he and Anna are truly meant to be. (I am a firm believer in that Hans is better, but that's got nothing to do with this review) In typical Disney fashion, the story is full of twists and turns and will keep you on the edge of your seat, what you thought you knew, you really didn't. And you find yourself hoping that it will still be an act of True Love that will thaw a frozen heart and bring happiness to Arendelle.

Twist on Frozen
This is a fun twist on the Frozen story. I bought this for my 14 year granddaughter who loved frozen. She was very intrigued by the book and my daughter who is 38 read it also and they loved being able to talk about the book.

Enging, exciting, a cool twist on frozen
Me and my 8 year old thoroughly enjoyed this book. As the second we have read in this series, we were extremely happy with it. My daughter loved the story line, it was easy enough for her to follow along. As an adult, I think it keeps you wanting to read more. It was a well though deviation from the original frozen story with elements from the original story that made everything make sense and drew the two together in perfect harmony.

Print ink defects
I ordered 7 books in this series and 2 were perfectly fine (paperback), but 5 of them (hardcover & paperback), as others have stated, had defective ink drag marks on the tops of every page, and ink splotch marks on the bottoms of every page. I've opted to attempt to swap them out to see if I receive better printed products. But looking at other reviews, and how common this issue appears to be, I doubt it. Everything else about the books body and story print was fine. Full disclosure: I will be posting this under each defective book, as all 5 were effected. UPDATE x2: #1: I received the replacement still having the ink markings on the pages. I decided to leave well enough alone, as other than that, the book was in very good condition, and didn't feel like circling the drain. #2: I can confirm that after seeing a few of this series books in an actual bookstore, brand new, and having the same ink issues on every page, I do feel better. This does appear to be an across the board printing issue with the majority of these books. Just depends on which ones you get.

To be honest I should have guessed this, but just to be sure no one makes the same mistake. This book and the one called "Let It Go" are the same twisted tales story, just different titles. This is the hardback version and the other is the paperback. I'm not sure why the titles are different but it fooled me. That aside, this came in very quickly, was in brand new condition with no damage, and minus the unfortunate revelation that I already had it, would have make a great addition to my ever growing collection.
