Great plates!
These pass through cable plates, in my opinion, are a great deal. They shipped fast as heck (fast enough that when the package arrived I didn't know it was them because the order was placed so recently) and are a little cheaper than what I came across at my local hardware stores. There seems to be adequate room for the amount of cables that most people would need to pass through. This install was very basic (2 14ga. speaker wires, a subwoofer cable, and a Cat6 ethernet cable) and theres plenty of free space remaining. a 5.1 or larger surround setup should be fine I would think but if you are worried about it this seller also has these plates available in double gang applications as well. I will say, since some people get confused about this, but these are the plates ONLY and do not come with the old work low voltage wall box/brackets. They can be had for a couple bucks or less usually and the install job is pretty simple honestly. Basically just a stud finder to make sure you aren't gonna hit it (unless you feel daring or lazy enough to just use the old knock knock trick to find hollow space), drywall saw, and a Phillips screwdriver and you should be done in no time. A level also wouldn't hurt since there is no reason to cut and mount the box all cockeyed.

Work great.... but please do not use them for your power cords!
The plates work very well. They are nice and sturdy and the angled hole helps direct your LOW VOLTAGE cabling such as speaker wire, HDMI, and audio cables. Just make sure you have a low voltage bracket handy such as the Legrand one: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0034XRLFM?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details You'll also need a drywall saw or razor blade to cut the hole for the low voltage bracket. Once the bracket is in place, this cable plate attaches quickly with 2 screws. I've found it is much easier to feed your cabling from top to bottom and then through this plate prior to attaching it to the wall. One note.... I see a very scary number of images and reviews from other Amazon customers showing they are running their power cords through this plate. This plate is designed only for LOW VOLTAGE wiring, not power cords. Power cords and extension cords are not allowed to be run in walls per the National Electrical Code. Only specialized in-wall rated electrical cabling is allowed. If you were to run, say, the power cord for your TV through the wall using this plate and a fire were to occur in this area, your home owners insurance can and will deny the claim. For wall mounting a TV, you must have a power outlet properly wired behind the TV instead of just running your power cord or an extension cord through the wall. The easiest solution for the do-it-yourself crowd is the Powerbridge: https://www.amazon.com/PowerBridge-Recessed-Management-PowerConnect-Wall-Mounted/dp/B00GWGZKF6?ref_=ast_sto_dp&th=1&psc=1

GREAT PRODUCT!!!!!! LOVE IT!!!!
This cable wall plate looks and is very functional. Just installed a HDTV flat screen TV in my bedroom. Had one of those HUGE tube TV's (UGH)!!!! Put this in since I connected to the existing cable outlet, ran a splitter from it, ran the cable up the wall, across the ceiling and down to where the TV was going to be mounted. Ran the coax cable thru this plate to the back of the TV. Absolutely GREAT! Makes everything nice and neat. No wires hanging all over the place. GREAT PRICE!!!!!! Highly recommend!!!!!

Almost perfect, but not quite!
I'm torn about giving this a four. I was considering even a three, but in reality that's too harsh. It's really a 3 1/2 but since they don't do halves here, it gets a four. Why? Pros: Downward (or upward I guess if you want) design that's flush with the wall rather than sticking out from it. Price Cons: Downward (or upward I guess if you want) design that because its flush with the wall means the back of the 'chute' is too close to the low-voltage boxes you're supposed to use this with. I had to use a pair of end-nippers to cut away a large portion of the back of that chute... not enough to see from the outside (unless you looked up the chute) but enough that it was a good 20% off which they really should have considered when designing this. (External-chute designs of course don't have this issue but then you do have a non-flush plate so cutting this was better than the alternative.) The 'plate' portion was smaller and thicker than a standard wall plate, so when it's directly beside say an outlet, it seems smaller and thicker than the others so it stands out more. Granted, the holes line up (of course) but they did something else to the size... at least compared to the standard wall plates here.

Simple and works great
I have installed a total of six of these in my current and last house. Works great for cable management. Simple to install, just have to use anchors in your drywall if you don't use a box within the wall. Its easier to just drywall anchors, just don't cut too much drywall away or you'll be forced to use a box. I used anchors because I wanted this unit to be next to the cable jack on my wall, just made it look better and it was a better location than installing above or below with a box. The opening requires cutting drywall very close to the anchors, you will likely need an anchor with wings to secure behind the wall instead of screw in anchors. Either way, great for cable management and simple to install.

Nice way to finish off a wall mounted TV.
There is nothing like a wall mounted 50" TV especially if you can make it look wireless. I purchased two of these inexpensive items and with two Low Voltage mounting brackets (Home Depot) I made the TV installation look great. I mounted one behind the far lower corner of the TV and one about the height of the plug (about 2 1/2 to 3' apart this is important). I have run all the wires required to run two Game Stations and every other accessory wire that the television requires to populate every output/input on the TV. Make sure that you plan first it helps to make sure that you have a hollow wall so that you can run accessory wire without obstruction. Also make sure that the two Gang plates are directly in line with one another and don't make them too far apart so that most wire will not need to be extended. Leave the plates accessable so that you can remove them for future wire without too much destruction. I can slide my TV over 6" and I have access to the plate but it is a good Idea to leave a fish rope threaded through the wall and out of both Gang Plates too. I am really happy with the simplicity and finished look however if it is cold behind the wall there is nothing stopping the cold air from coming out of these plates so keep that in mind or plan to stuff insulation in the holes.

Great way to run cords behind your wall
Have bought this product several times. Typically put one behind a TV, and the other at outlet height. Great way to pass a variety of cords through the wall, and especially easy if it's an interior wall with no insulation in it to try and yank the cables through. Don't forget to get an easy to install 1 gang low voltage mounting bracket. This is an easier project than most people think to enable hiding your wiring. Whether it's to a TV or going up a wall to a speaker, light, etc. Get a stud finder, hand drywall saw, and some fish tape to pull the cable through (not even always needed, especially in open wall cavities). YouTube has some great videos to help get you confident.

Looks good, works well
I have previously used the type of cable plate that protrudes outside the wall, and I was happy with them. But after using this cable plate with its internal protusion, I'll probably never use the externally protruding plates again. It looks just as good (maybe better, but that might be subjective), it works just as well, and there's virtually no chance of accidentally bumping the plate and cracking or breaking off the protusion. I also bought Arlington LV1-1CS Single Gang Low Voltage Mounting Bracket Device from a different manufacturer and the 2 items matched up perfectly, so no problems there. I do have a marketing suggestion, though: I'd like to see these plates offered in a greater variety of colors, in the same way that wall switch plates and electrical receptacle plates are offered, e.g. white, off-white, tan, etc. And if they are already available in a variety of colors on Amazon, it would be helpful to offer all the colors as a single entry, in the same way some men's shirts are offered.

This was exactly what i needed to clean up the wires and clean look
This is a perfect addition to what I needed to complete the job for my home theatre installation. It was easy to feed the wires through this and provided a great look after wards. It was much better the alternative because of the open hole at the top to guide the wire up. It allows for multiple wire and power cables to be fed through this without any problems. Very pleased with the quality and build.

Buen producto
