Great decorative fence, works great as a barrier for my 3 large dogs.
I purchased this fence because we recently planted flower beds and I have 3 very large dogs (ranging from 60lbs - 120lbs) that were trampling through them. I needed a barrier to prevent them from using the flower beds as a short cut around the house. There were a few reviews here that nearly made me change my mind on buying this fence, I would like to counter those reviews here... 1) A reviewer stated these were flemsy - in the listing it states that this is a temporary fence, meaning this is not the kind you buy at Lowes or Home Depot for 3x the price that you have to put 4x4 posts into the ground. 2) One reviewer pictured the pieces at a bit of a distance, the slats almost looked to be thin like single 1/8" thick PVC... This photo was deceiving, please see my photos attached. The slats are double walled and have small nubs near the bottom to hold the slat in place. 3) One reviewer stated that it is so flimsy it doesn't hold up to wind... This is also incorrect, I live Ohio surrounded by open farm land. We experience high winds regularly and not one fence has moved or fallen over. Heck the wind was so high the other day my telescoping flag pole let its self down from the wind. This reviewer obviously did not pound the fence into the ground far enough. Of course the fence comes ready to assemble, shipping would be outrageous if they shipped already assembled. I do want to make clear that I did not buy this fence to contain my large dogs, I purchased it to add a Visual barrier and I wanted something that looks nice. Do I feel the price is right, pretty much.. It could be a bit cheaper but it definitely is not to over priced. Pointers when assembling your fence: 1) Be sure you have you top and bottom bar as they should go, the bottom bar only has openings for the slats at the top. 2)Be sure you are putting your slats in the right location, I made a mistake and put two #1's side by side and have yet to get the slat pulled out due to the dubs holding it in place. :( 3) Pound the fence into the location you want it prior to putting the fence caps on. A rubber mallet works best for pounding the fence post into the ground. 4) I found it to be easier to affix the fences together prior to placing them in the ground by laying them on a flat surface. 5) If you have to cut the fence as I did in one location, place the cut end up against another fence section, as the caps on the ends of the fence sections do not come off.

Great Fence!
Love this fence. It is a great product. Easy to install and maintain. The fence really dressed up our front yard.

63-year-old woman: Did it myself!
I got this fence to distract from the vacant lot next to my driveway where the wetlands have expanded to create a swampy area. It doesn't HIDE the area as the fence isn't solid, but I thought it would distract and I'm pleased with the results. I need two more sections, which will deliver today, allowing me to complete the job next weekend. I added mulch and a dwarf tree at each end. PROS: PRICE. This is remarkably inexpensive for what you get. ASSEMBLY. I'm a 63-year old woman and I assembled and put up this fence entirely by myself. After the first section, the other sections went together very quickly. It's simple, but I recommend sorting out the different sized pickets in advance and double-check before inserting each one. They snap into position, so if you use the wrong size, removing is challenging at best. LOOKS. I'm pleased with the end product. Does it look like a professionally installed fence? No, but for the price, it's great. (Not only is the price of the fence a great value, but not having to hire an installer saves a TON!) QUALITY. Still TBD, but I banged on these sections with a rubber mallet when installing and not a mark was left on them. CONS: ALIGNMENT. Nearly impossible to get the sections to perfectly align, particularly if the ground isn't 100% level. Some of mine came out great, with the break between the sections barely noticeable, but other places I tried and tried and couldn't get perfect alignment. CONNECTORS. Connectors are provided to connect one section to another. There are NO pre-drilled holes. As other reviews have said, the "self-drilling" screws are not. I tried to drill holes in the top of the fence to attach the connector pieces and the drill did not penetrate. It merely made an indentation. Whether that speaks to the sturdiness of the fence or the whimpiness of my drill, I'm not sure. LONGEVITY. Still to be seen, but concerned about the toll high winds and winter weather will take. I COULD yank the fence out for the winter and re-install in the spring, but not sure I want to do that. It would also be difficult to hammer in each section now that the post caps are installed. For what I needed to do, this fence should work fine. It was relatively inexpensive and easy to put up. Unless you cement it into the ground, I don't see it being strong enough to contain a child or a dog, but for aesthetic use, it's great. UPDATE: I discovered after ordering additional sections that they were not created equally. The picket slats in the original sections fit very tightly and were a bit of a struggle to insert through the slots and snap into place. In the later sets purchased, the pickets fit very loosely. That made assembly easy, but makes the fence itself less stable. When hammering in those sections, the pickets would bounce up and fall out. I prefer the pickets with the more snug fit. If it proves to be a problem, I'll add some silicone to the loose ones.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND
I looked and looked and looked for something to hide the outdoor electric boxes. The fake rock covers are insanely expensive and I would need 3 of them for all three outside components. I did not want an entire enclosure- just something aesthetically pleasing, sturdy and the right size for these fairly large monstrosities. Most metal fence pieces are too small and would look odd in front of these structures. The cheap plastic "fences" are exactly that. This item was exactly what was needed. They are sturdy, the right size for the job, easy to put together and come in a 2pack!. I only used to put on one side but you can enclose any structure if you want. They look great. Great value. As an aside, I would probably not use this as a dog barrier - may not be strong enough to stand up to a large strong dog without getting damaged

Excellent product, easy assembly, beautiful end result!
I have purchased several packages of the Madison fence (at the $60-range price) to enclose three sides of my yard. I'm a renter in a duplex community [lots of folks ignoring leash laws around here... :( ], so I wanted something that would enhance my yard and provide a sturdy physical boundary while not being permanent. This product fit the bill BEAUTIFULLY! The fence panels arrive in a box about 5ft x 4in x 9 in in size, with all the necessary pieces for assembly enclosed. I put together the first several panels with a regular screwdriver - which worked just fine - but when I decided to fence in the back I switched to a powered drill to save my arm! ;) This picture shows most of the front yard completed. The panels themselves do not curve or bend, but you can gradually angle each panel section to create a curve like you see in the picture. I used two sticks and a string to lay out the fence line - including the curve - and it helped tremendously in ensuring that I was keeping the fence aligned. This really is one of the best quality non-permanent fences I have seen, and you won't regret purchasing it! **Special acknowledgement to the Zippity Fence/WamBam customer service: I accidentally stripped the head of a tiny specialty screw used in the gate assembly, and lost another screw in the grass while trying to connect two of the panels. I contacted customer service directly, and they very promptly emailed me back. Replacements for those two screws are on their way to me now! :) **

Good for the price
We used this fencing to separate our line from our neighbor. It was very easy to assemble and I am a female 62 yrs old. Set up saw bucks with plywood on top and hubby put 2 screws in to have the fence to push against for me to assemble. Very easy, just have to make sure to not turn the bottom rail upside down as it's a little pain to take back apart. That only happened 1 time. I was aware after that. Seems fairly sturdy and made well for the price. We installed in sandy soil so not a problem . Only a few roots to take care of.. just make sure if your ground is hard or rocky to make some starter holes as you can't beat the crap out of the posts. Not made for that kind of pressure. It looks very nice and can easily be moved if needed. I had biuy 4 boxes which comes with 2 panels each. I had 1 section too much but maybe do another project later and can use it then Shipping was fast , price was fair, and looks nice in end. Would buy again

Looks cheaper than expected,used?ss it!damaged box?installed damage return!Not satisfied for $5 off!
I got these to go around the yard to try to prevent my littles from running off too far, theres only one of me and 5 of them so my eyes cant be on all of them at once and still be interactive and meet their standards lol. Definitely helps. I knew from other reviews that they wouldnt be spectacularly sturdy against my mini bulldozers but still not as sturdy as i expected for the price. I feel like a box of two panels of this material and size should honestly be half of what theyre asking. Another reason to have a better price for them is they look so cheaply made in person, theyre nice to look at from a distance but once anyone comes within 15 feet you can easily tell theyre meant to be cheapos. If you have paint like the chalk paint that makes things look more vintage like it actually makes them appear to be more realistic to a wooden fence. Also when i ordered these i ordered from the "used" section, my description was that the box would be damaged. Thats it. I got boxes of panels that said thanks for giving me a new life... there were panels with the tops already on them and i couldnt get them off to pound it into the ground, quite a few with big cuts in them and then at the bottom you could tell they got beat up by aweed whacker. There were so many pieces from when someone tried to put them together previously had put them together wrong so in 3 of the boxes there were holes all over the place, looked like the fence was in a shootout. I had to fix all of this with materials i had to walk down to the store for (bc i dont have a vehicle til hubby gets back or i wouldve loaded it all up for return) before i put it together. I ended up with a small fraction of good panels from what I ordered and am completely losing 2 1/2 boxes of panels, unless i can come up with some other way to fix or hide these obvious eyesore damages. The price for a box of these new is $68.80 for my "box will be damaged" ones i paid $63.30. I feel like i got lied to, completely misled and robbed. If i were going to purchase damaged products to this extent then i would expect way more than $5 off a box for already over priced panels of fencing. So yes theyre cheap to the eye and the feel and theyre not very sturdy at all, they hold up to the little amount of wind so far out there but i feel like if a finch were to fly into it that it would wiggle like jello. It is very easy to assemble and install when the top isnt already somehow jammed on so bad as well as making an auger hole first bc they will bend and break if the soil is hard and compacted. Also suggest a small woodchip bed on either side judging by the fair share of torture from a weed eater unless you want tall grass or to take them all out every you get the mower out.

Great solution for renting
I’m a a renter, with two kids under the age of 3 and the yard is not fully fenced, so I got these to sort of contain my little ones to the patio area where it is safe to play. Easy to build! I built these faster than I hung my curtain rods and with zero cuss words. Use a power drill. The material feels like PVC pipe, so they are also easy to clean off. They're sturdy enough- They’re not going to keep a great big dog from escaping. And if my children were left alone for long periods of time and very determined, they could get out of here, but sturdy enough that the occasional pushing or shaking, and even have a 30 lb child standing on that bottom rung, has not broken or damaged it. This purchase gives me piece of mind !! And I am soooo glad it was so easy to build. The hardest part was actually getting them into the ground as some areas of my yard were squishier and one section maybe had a root or rock or something that prevented one of the stakes from going in.

Exceeded Expectations!!
We rent our basement and the backyard belongs to the other tenant. We bought 5 boxes of this fencing to make a safe place in the front for our two year old to play. We've gotten so many compliments on how cute the yard looks; even had some people come up and ask where we got it, how easy it was to set up etc. My hubby had the whole thing set up in just under 4 hours and with no issues. Much sturdier than we expected. We're very happy with this purchase and plan to buy a 6th box when the price drops again. Would definitely recommend for small dogs and little kids.

Cerca zippity larga
