Not so with Furman’s SMP. Damaging transient voltages are safely absorbed, clamped, and dissipated. Your connected equipment is protected, while your Furman protects itself!" **Q: Will this take the 60 cycle hum out of my home tube amp?** A: yes, it will if the issue is a bad ground from your wall socket, I've bought two for the same reason and yes it removed all the noise caused by the bad ground from a wall socket. i suggest plugging your amp in another receptacle, preferably at a different house, just to ensure it isn't a bad tube or cable.
