ACDelco Gold 252-693 (88926207) Engine Water Pump

It is working well and I’m glad I chose this for my car. 🫵🏼🏁 After a little more than a year and a half, the water pump is failed so I’m going to have to return the original that’s failed to Amazon and they will take care of getting me refunded is what I was told. I mean it has a two year warranty with the manufacturer so it’s not quite satisfactory, but it’s worked just fine up to the point of it failing. I ordered the identical item so my mechanic can install that and I’ll get the original one returned so they can refund me. I will call Amazon and request the QR code. I think this time I will take the return to a Whole Foods instead of the UPS store. Thank you, Amazon for taking care of me in these kind of situations. 🫡🏁🫵🏼

Terrific water pump. I could not wrap my head around why a cast iron impeller would be better than a steel one. But the impeller in this one is indeed cast iron and considerably larger than the stock one I removed from my 2000 Chevy Impala. This one appears to be very high quality. Like others, I bought the Fel-Pro 35351 blue gasket and used Permatex non-hardening gasket sealer on the gasket as well as the threaded bolts, as at least two of them go into the water jackets. It's surprisingly easy, watch a few YouTube videos and you're on your way. Works great, better than the stock one ever did. The heater is HOTTER than it's ever been, and the temp gauge is rock steady and slightly cooler (yes, I understand what a thermostat does so it makes no sense, but it's still true). Remember to gradually torque the bolts from inner to outer in a star pattern like you'd do a wheel, and torque to specs (two different bolt sizes means two different torques). DON'T FORGET TO BLEED the air out of your engine using the fitting on top of your thermostat housing or you will overheat!

Installed on my 2004 Pontiac Grand Prix GTP. It fits and it works as intended. I've had this installed for about 14 mo & about 15K miles now with zero issues. There is a difference in ACDelco Pro, Advantage ad OE lines. This Pro is mid-level. OE being the closest (if not the exact) OEM quality for GM vehicle. My car's an '04 so no need to pay as much for the OE version. Just never cut corners for the cheapest in this or any brand product. BONUS INFO: Like others here and in online forums suggested, GET THE UPGRADED GASKET! Fel-Pro 35351 (blue plastic material) I reviewed that on Amazon too.

Fits and works well. Did not have to go back to store.
