Works well as automatic liquid chlorine dispenser
I used this for a homemade automatic liquid chlorine dispenser for my pool. I travel a lot, so I'm not always home to consistently add liquid chlorine into my pool, this works perfectly, but you need to frankenstein it a bit. In case anyone is wondering how my setup works: I bought this, a medium sized ammo box (although a small one would probably work too, I just wanted extra space), a 3mm ID x 5mm OD silicone tube, I already had a long outdoor extension cord, and some kind of timer (can be christmas light timer or something. although a timer with short time increments would be the best, like minutes if possible). You just need to connect the silicone tubes into the nipples that are already on the pump. You don't need to do anything to the pump. Then you just plug everything in, connect one end of the tube into a bottle of liquid chlorine and the other end straight into the pool. Set up the timer and leave it alone. That's it! The quality of the pump is fine, I haven't had it long so hopefully it works for a while. It's not noisy at all. The default power is more than enough for my use, I actually have the dial set to about 25%, it was pumping way too much at 50%+.

Saves time & less spills for aquarium work
Simple to snap the pump onto the housing for first time use. Connect two pieces of your airline tubing to the pump and plug it in-you're done. Purchased to acclimate new aquarium fish from the store water to the quarantine tank water at home. It was self-priming and pumped like a charm. Very satisfied.

Great for home tech projects
Update: I did have one pump exhibit the black residue some have mentioned and it began slipping. I took a jewelers file to the motor shaft and roughed it a bit to help it get some grip again. The other 3 have been well.. but they only get used half as much as the pump for detergent. Bought this set to make a home laundry detergent/additive metering device. Having used one at work, I priced the commercial units and the prices were unreal. The pumps do not move a large amount in a short time.. which in a home environment.. is a good thing..(users less likely to hit the button again to pump more!) Each pump delivers at a slightly smaller/larger volume with the same voltage.. I used a 12v 1amp power block along with smart switch that only allow one pump to run at a time. The pump delivers about the recommended amount of detergent 1/2 cup, in about 2 minutes. After designing the unit I discovered that we, like most use to much of all the laundry detergents/additives.. So this pumps have ALREADY paid for itself in saving on the chemicals. Other users have noted debris and other issues with the pump, however I have not noticed any abnormal/discolored debris in the pumps; I have had them apart 2x to check. But it should be noted my pumps only get used about once a day, 2-3 days during the week for detergent.

Can be modified to provide lower flow rates
I wanted to get a cheap peristaltic pump, which can pump water with flow rates 0.1 to 5 ml/min. The minimum flow rate of the INTLLAB Peristaltic Liquid Pump with 2mm ID x 4mm OD is too high for my purpose, so I have tried to decrease it by (1) using tubings with smaller ID, and (2) supplying the pump with lower voltage. Hooshing Silicone Tubing 1mm ID x 3mm OD (ASIN: B08QFFLP3S) were fitted into the pump head without problems but would easily slide out upon running because the OD is too small. I used MettleAir 129PP-1 Polypropylene Plastic 1/16" ID Hose Barb Union (ASIN: B00S529L6Y) to keep the tubing in place, and it works just great as if it was intentionally designed for this unit. Also, I replaced the original power supply (outputs fixed 12 VDC) with SHNITPWR 24W AC Adapter 3V~12V 2A Universal Power Adapter (ASIN: B08YN79VVD). At lowest voltage input, 3V, the pump starts to operate when the flow control knob reaches the middle of its range, and at 4V it can move in the entire range of knob positions. With 1mm ID tubing and 4V input voltage, it was possible to get a sustained flow rate as low as ~ 0.4 ml/min.

Cheap and great when it works but breaks too often
I'm trying to be fair in this review, as this is a very cheap pump. While it offers a great - amazing - value for the money if used occasionally and for hobby stuff, this pump is money pit if you try to make it a part of anything remotely serious. I needed pumps for a project with continuous duty. In my case this is the main deal-breaker, the pumps are not suitable to work continuously. And by that I don't mean months, the pumps cannot go even several days without something breaking. I bought one pump initially to test it, and then I bought another 8 via my workplace. The first one performed really well actually, which made me purchase more. The rest of them keep breaking down. The main issue is the friction between the rollers and the shaft. This pump has shaft that drives the rollers directly. Because of this, the rollers are constantly grinding their surface and dissipate fine black dust. As their surfaces become rougher, they also damage the hose, so I'm replacing them so often - I have a hose bursting at max. 24-48h now. Also, because of the direct contact between the shaft and the rollers, I cannot lubricate this pump, at all, and that might also have something to do with the black dust. As a final hit, the rollers that are roughed up too much cannot even run at lower voltages, and the only way to drive the pump is full 12V, only. Again, I'm trying to be fair here reviewing a $10 pump. If you need it for a bit of work here and there it should be fine. But for everything remotely serious it won't cut it. My issue is that out of nearly 10 pumps I have, there are only one or two left that operate properly, and from what I saw so far I assume it's just a matter of time before they also break.

Description of tubing size incorrect. 7mm x 11 od required
The description is incorrect. Like all peristaltic pumps, the tubing wears out over time. In my case about 5 months. So I ordered more tubing per the size listed in the listing. Way Way to small. This pump takes 7mm id 11 mm od tubing. More than twice the size listed in the description.

Failed within return period
Failed. The soft tubing in the pump developed a crack and failed in about 20 days time. It was moving rodi water, the central shaft ended up rusting.

Pulling from 10 feet!
Mainly using this as an auto top off pump for my saltwater tank. Don’t know about self priming ability but it will pull from approximately 10 feet once primed (i helped it prime). Looking at design it should not lose prime or back siphon. Did general research on pumps of this style and generally they should pull from 35 feet. When you run into a situation where you need to get water from A-B, this thing will do it! I have a 58 gallon barrel of fresh rodi and i needed my ato to get water to my main tank a floor above it and this does it! Hopefully this thing will last a year! But how this will function for me, id say will run maybe a minute every hour or so depending on speed setting and evaporation! Some atos can run upwards of $50 minimum! Buy this and some hose needed for your setup and you’re good to go!

Works as described.
Awesome pump! I used it on an automated Christmas tree watering system I built. Works awesome and is nice and quiet. The tube it comes with is kinda mehh, but I'd expect you would change it out anyway. I did and it worked amazing.

So far so good
This review based on build quality as I didn't have the chance to fully test this dosing pump on a long run. So far all what I can say this pump is built like the original Nokia 3310 lol. The casing is made from very high quality plastic and it doesn't feel cheap at all, I would say the case and the motor controller alone worth the money. The pump head and Probably the motor it self made from cheap material. I ran it for 1 hour to test, the dosing is consistent . I'll make another review after I try it on my calcium reactor. *******Updated. The peristaltic tube head is very poor quality, I end up modifying this dosing pump by replacing the whole pump with high end motor and peristaltic head. As I said previously the only good part about this pump is the housing and the chip. If you're into diy and willing to do some modification like me then yes the price is fare, otherwise save your money and get something ready out of the box.

Two duds out of two
I bought two of these for a dosing system and both ended up being duds. One did not even move the rollers, so I fixed it by turning the rollers a bit and restarting. Still did not move any fluid, even with about 6" of head on the intake. I tried cranking up the voltage to get it going, but nothing was working. Gave up on it, going to use a different approach instead
