This phone does NOT work with AT&T! AT&T stopped supporting 2G devices, which is what the firefly is. As of the date this review was written, the firefly web site was not working (fireflymobile.com). Which means that the device could not even be activated by the company that makes it!

I bought this phone for my 7 year old nephew! I am very happy with it, it only allows him to call his mom and dad and in this day in age with all the crime out there! We feel safe knowing our nephew can call if he needs HELP!I recommend it to anyone that has children! It is inexpensive and you pay as you go!The phone was received in excellent condition and works wonderfully!

We got this phone for our 6 year old. He needed a phone will attending visitation with bio dad. It has great kiddie features and can be used with any AT&T or T-Mobile (normal sized) SIM card. We use a prepaid from T-mobile because they have the better deal for what we need. The phone can be slow to connect to the network but works great once connected. Better than many other phones targeted towards young ones. I just wish it had a tracking capability. Has a pin code feature so you can password protect the contacts and you can turn on a feature to only allow numbers in your contacts to call phone or for phone to call. This has been great so the bio dad can't use his minutes up and sky rocket our kiddos phone bill. Has a nice emergency button function where they have to hold it for 3 seconds and press the center button to make a quick 911 call. It has worked wonderfully when our son has needed to call us. Would recommend this to anyone with young young kids that need a phone while away from parents. Side not: he used the previous version firefly phone (same mom & dad call buttons, emergency function, password protect functions, and similar process to make a call) and our son was 4 and able to use it to make calls. So I have no doubt in my mind that he would have been able to use this phone at 4 years old.

Cheap! Dropped calls, not worth it

Having trouble with it connecting and making the calls go through in a timely fashion.

Unfortunately, I had to return the Firefly. Verizon no longer had sim cards that would work with this model phone.Since that was the primary reason for choosing this phone it was a deal breaker for me.

This is for my son and is a great buy for teaching him the responsibility of keeping track of a phone and checking in.

This is a useless phone. I was not able to turn phone on and use it. I have no one to send the phone back to, because amazon want take it back.
