Discover how true faith can leave a lasting legacy with a poignant and personal look into the lives of some of the Bible's most faithful women. Come and take a deeper look at women who were ordinary, common, and in some cases even ostracized and rejected by society, yet each was made extraordinary by her life-changing encounter with God. In Twelve Extraordinary Women , bestselling author and Bible teacher John MacArthur shows you that the God to whom they were so faithful is the same God who continues to mold and guide you today. As you meet these women in Scripture and get to know more about their lives and characters, they will challenge you, motivate you, encourage you, and inspire you with love for the God whom they trusted, served, and loved, teaching you that: Your personal struggles and temptations are the very same kinds of trials that all believers of all ages have confronted Even in the midst of your trouble, God remains eternally faithful Through God, anyone can become extraordinary Some of the women you'll come to know include: Ruth (Ruth 1– 4) Anna (Luke 2:36–38) Martha and Mary, sisters of Lazarus (Luke 10:38–42) Mary Magdalene (Matthew 27:56–61) Sarah (Genesis 11–25) Hannah (1 Samuel 1–2) The Samaritan woman (John 4) Mary, the mother of Jesus (Luke 1–2) From Eve to the Samaritan Woman, these twelve women each serve as reminders of both our frailty and our potential. Together, they all point us to Christ and His grace.

Great resource for discussing ladies in the Bible
This was a very enjoyable read and provided accurate, interesting insights into these ladies in the Bible. It serves as a wonderful resource.

Looking forward to studying this book
This book is laid out well. I believe it will be encouraging for me to read, and look forward to it.The book itself was treated harshly in shipping (through USPS), arriving bent and torn. It can still be read, so I will.

Extraordinary Women
Just ending this study with my Bible Study group. Renown author. Did not agree with some of his terms such as “perhaps” and he used that often. A lot of the women did not like his attitude towards women in stories such as “Sarah”. Others loved it for that same reason because it made them search the scriptures!

Great book
I bought this for a small group- it was easy to read and the questions at the end of each chapter was helpful to know what to focus your reading. I learned a lot about each character. Definitely recommend for small group but it is 12 chapters- we did one/week which was enough.

Book
So interesting

Thought provoking
It was written by a Pastor I have come to enjoy reading because he draws us to the Saviour. He writes what is not popular today. Woman's place in the home and in church. These twelve women were in no way special except they had been chosen by God. All of His children then become special. In reading this it set me free from the expectations of the world and caused me to seek to be a Mary, or at least with her strengths.
