We have a 15x30 oval pool, and decided to mount these to pressure treated 4x4 posts just above and just past one end to get it out of the way, and because we weren't keen on drilling through the pool edge. Works great so far. You can really be creative with the design since it can be mounted independent of the pool. The plastic pieces just aren't as thick and sturdy as I would like, and I plan to keep an eye on them for stress cracks. Worth the money so far for the super easy and quick on and off of the cover. Would buy again.

I did a lot of research before purchasing a cover roller because there are quite a lot of options, they are all at least $200.00, and a lot of them have a frightening amount of negative reviews. I came across this cover roller and the reviews for my size pool were good, the only poor reviews I see are for pools 22-24' in diameter. Ours is a 15x30' oval and we didn't even use all of the pieces to extend the roller arms across the pool, 5 came in the box and only three were needed to span our pool, I like having the extra pieces should they be needed. No sag in the roller (yet) and the lift away design makes it perfect for one person to remove the cover. The only negative I have to say is the straps that come with it require you to puncture holes in the cover in order to attach, which I could see becoming a large rip down the line. I opted to purchase a set of heavy duty clams (last picture) to attach the straps to the cover, the hardware that came to attach the cover was still usable to secure the straps to the clamps. The reel system roll up function works well. I thought the assembly instructions were lacking. I will also need to make a couple of modifications, as pulling the solar cover off the reel and onto the pool when not in the water is difficult.

First there are not any pilot holes in any of the pieces, not a huge deal but inconvenient. The biggest disappointment is that the reel bows a significant amount during roll up. This makes rolling up the cover a bit more challenging since the roller pulls at the handles and makes them tilt inward. The roller pins underneath the handles was a great idea but the bowing of the reel makes it so the handle doesn’t rest on those pins to help. My concern now is how long will the base hold up with the pressure the bowing causes. My pool in 18’x38’ for reference. Next time we roll it up I will try and post a picture.

Bought it about a month ago but just got it mounted on the pool. All of the parts were included in the shipment and they fit together with no issues. The instructions were clear and accurate. The mounted product is sturdy and easy to put on and take off of the pool. I mounted it to the pool's top rail because everything can be completely and easily removed when you're ready to use the pool. That was easier than having to set posts to mount it on separate of the pool. This reel should last for a long time.

I should have read the reviews more before buying. This classic FALSE ADVERTISING. They state the reel fit a 24' pool IT WILL NOT!!!! . Instructions state you must have a minimum of 9" of engagement between the tubes @ 24' span you only get 1-1/8" engagement. What a waist of time and money. No sense in sending it back with all the restocking fees. No one will ever get this reel sense it is at the city dump.

The instructions were horrible!! I purchased for my 24" round pool. If you extend it out to the size of the pool, which it states it fits, the pole is so flimsy that the screws fall out. We decreased the size of the pole length to sturdy up the pole. We have to fold in 4" of cover on each side to roll up our cover. Other than that it works great.

We’ve had this product for a little under a month and so far we love it! I *really* love that the arm can rotate off of the pool- my four kids and all the neighbors were thinking about hanging on it before we swung it out of hanging distance! Seems sturdy, rolls well, went on quick. Can’t ask for much more but longevity!
