My son familiarized me with the value of this tool as he had a similar one on his older Mac Air. This hub is so critical as the Mac Air intentionally is port limited for space reasons. This particular version of a hub fits snugly against the edge of the laptop to provide true ease of use with maximum connectivity to the laptop. The build quality was excellent as was the packaging of the device. Great purchase! Couldn't be happier with the cost and the available port selections.

Good product to expand Mac port capacity. Only issue and not sure if it was my Mac or the device was how it started to bend when hanging off desk side and not on stable flat surface when using with my laptop. I had to switch which side of the laptop which was inconvenient to my setup on my second MacBook.

Super convenient and works like a charm. I keep my mouse plugged into it and it does great for charging. This is my second one, but it took four years to wear out so I'd say definitely worth it, especially if you are hard on your electronic gadgets.

Works great but can’t have a case on your computer and must use two ports.

I purchased this hub to use with my new MacBook Pro, and I must say, it's fantastic. The build quality is excellent, and it even looks like Apple made it with a similar material feel and color. The port options are fantastic, and I love that there are several permutations of this dock to fit various needs. I chose this one since it has the ethernet port, which also works great. I do worry a bit about the durability of that port as it is plastic unlike the rest of the dock which is aluminum. The only complaint I have is that the hub is a little thinner than my computer which means when sitting on a desk there is some space below it for it to flex and put some stress on the ports. I read another review where the user added rubber feet and I've elected to do the same.

It works, what more can I say? I did have trouble with HDMI over a long cable, but apparently Macs in general are known to have HDMI issues in that room. HDMI works fine in home office, my main use. I'm happy not to be carrying around a variety of USB 3 converter cables.

They all seem to work well. It was not clearly noted which port should use the power input, but once we moved them to the port next to the HDMI port, everything worked wonderfully. We do not have the gap between them and the mac and we do not have to force them in to fit. No complaints at all. Over time I will come back and update this, but in our testing phase these beat out the others we were looking at.

Except for the fact that the space grey version of the product was not available at the time I bought it, the Hyperdrive hub is amazing. The best part of this hub is the fact that it has an indicator light to show when your laptop is switched on or on sleep, a feature that is no longer part of the mabcook series. There has been no issue with ports and the hub securely fits onto the laptop. It does heat up a little when using multiple ports but the heating is manageable. Loved the product overall and would recommend it to be bought with the newer version macbook products.

Good product but it is overpriced.

Avec un ordi ne possédant que 2 ports usb C, cet accessoire se révèle indispensable si vous avez besoin de brancher plusieurs périphériques.Son seul défaut selon moi (et qui lui coûte sa 5e étoile) est que lorsque l’on débranche un accessoire branché en usb, on risque fortement de débrancher le dock…

Al principio me resulto raro la forma que tiene el conector rj-45 de plegarse pero después de usarlo varias veces me parece un truco muy util el hecho de que se pueda "plegar"
