Fantastic product
Im baffled as to why this isn't rated higher. User error? Its great for weak dogs recovering from parasite infection or surgery/Injury. Underweight dogs etc. My Yorkie lost a ton of weight from oral surgery followed by a parasite infection. She lost interest in food from both also. This product gave her energy and nutrients she needed in order to start healing and regain her appetite. Just click out a tiny piece at a time on your finger and give it to them that way. Its thick dense syrup, so its too difficult to try and push into their mouth, the whole amount you need to give your particular dog based on their weight. You will end up with a mess. You can also refrigerate it to make it more dense and less glue like so you can dispense small sections on your finger equivalent to the size of a training treat. It won't hurt them if you give them a little more than necessary. Combine it with the under the weather pet pro and pre biotic paste. I've been using that one for years. It fixes my dogs fast when they get a bout of loose stools or they throw up. I got the idea to look for this product because I spent years rehabing abandoned newborn mamnals on the brink of death. We would give them caro syrup to keep them from dying until we could get their weight and nutrition back up with formula. This product has the added benefit of nutrients and healthy fats they would not get from just caro syrup. They should have given this dispenser a dose turn dial so you could more easily dispense the correct dose. However, it would probably cost $10 more if they did. You can easily track where you need to stop with the lines on the plunger, even just dispensing it one small piece at a time to decrease mess or waste risk.

Worked great for my little dog!
My little Maltese can be finicky, and sometimes she stops eating for a day, even to the point where she throws up or has diarrhea. This can be a problem for small dogs, as they can go south quickly. After a big vet bill on one occasion, I learned that I need to be proactive when she is moving in that direction. This product works well to prevent problems. It provides needed calories, electrolytes, and a sweet taste that she tolerates when I squirt it in her mouth. (She wonโt eat anything voluntarily in these times.) Itโs messy, which is to be expected, but it prevents hypoglycemia and stabilizes her quickly. I like that the product has a long shelf life. I will keep it in stock for future needs. Great product!!!

Good for sick or elderly dogs
This a good supplement for elderly or sick dogs who don't eat well. I gave it to my dog at her last stages of life and I think it supported her vitamins deficiency. Itโs a heavy concentrated paste, easy to manage and you can crush any pills and mix with this paste to give the medications to dogs who reject to swallow pills. Is highly recommended it.

Good but a little pricey for the amount
This supplement is packed with calories and nutrients, making it ideal for dogs needing to gain weight or maintain a healthy calorie intake. Despite my dog's reluctance to eat much, she eagerly devours her food when this supplement is mixed in. I've noticed a significant improvement in her energy levels and overall health since incorporating it into her diet. While the supplement is effective and has undoubtedly helped my dog, it is on the pricier side. However, considering the positive impact it has had on her well-being, I find it worth the investment. The quality and effectiveness outweigh the cost, especially when it comes to ensuring my dog gets the nutrition she needs. If you have a dog struggling with weight maintenance or a picky appetite, I highly recommend giving this high calorie supplement a try. It may be a bit pricey, but the results speak for themselves in terms of improved health and vitality.

Excellent Product
My dog was so sick. I really didnโt think he was going to make it. I was really skeptical about buying this product but Iโm so glad I did two days of taking this medication. My dog has felt amazing. I think I have my dog back. Thank you for making this possible.

Best calorie supplement. Dog loves it!
This stuff really helped when our Wheaton was under the weather, stopped eating for 5 days, and started losing weight. Great flavor and easy to administer. This stuffs a game changer!

Upset my dog's stomach, and leaked everywhere.
I can't speak of the weight gaining properties of this stuff, but I do know it's mostly sugar. From what I can tell it looks like some sort of molasses, probably enriched with vitamins. I personally didn't think it had a lot of vitamin levels in it, but I also don't know the dosage that animals need. My dog has always been a picky eater, and has been just above underweight for some time. Now that my mom (his previous owner) died, he's gotten skinnier. The few things he will eat, he doesn't eat enough. I figured I'd try this as a trial run to see if he'd gain any weight. I only got it yesterday so I don't know yet if it will cause him to gain weight. He does not like the flavor! I'm not surprised considering how picky he is, but I also don't blame him. It looks unappealing to me. The fat dog of the family (they eat separately btw) seems to want to try and I'm sure she'd love it. So I imagine a less picky pet would enjoy this? The servings of this stuff is pretty big for my Chihuahua, at one teaspoon. The instructions call for two teaspoons for dogs who don't eat enough, but I wasn't going to force my pup to eat that much. In order to get it in him I had to hold him firmly (but gently) and scoop it into his mouth. It might be easier if I had a smaller syringe to use but the tube it comes in is far too big to stick in a little dog's mouth; it also dispenses too much at a time for a little dog unless they love the stuff. In addition, I'm not sure if it's correlation or causation, but within an hour of eating the stuff for the first time my dog had diarrhea. He's got a sensitive stomach, but I'm cautious about the product now. I gave him another dose today in the hopes of getting his stomach used to it, but I am worried it will continue to upset his stomach. He hasn't eaten his regular dinner yet, so I hope this product isn't doing more harm than good. As for the packaging. It's a good concept, but it ended up being messy for me. I accidentally took the plunger from the tube, which seemed convenient at first since it allowed me to put product back into the tube as needed. Only when I put the plunger back in the product began oozing out of the top and wouldn't stop! It made a big mess. I ended up squeezing the tube into a bowl and discarding the tube. I really wanted to like the product but I'm not sure I'll buy it again unless my dog learns to love it, doesn't get an upset stomach, and gains weight.

Helping our aging pup
This is a wonderful go to for my elderly pup who needs extra calories to help sustain his weight. He loves it and it makes caring for him at this stage of his life much easier.
