Fluffy and soft for your bird’s house. Mine love it! In purchasing this, you receive a pretty good sized bag. I just pull off small chunks and I put it in the cage and they grab it up and put it into their cage and then pack it down where they want it. it’s too cute watching!

Clean, soft, natural cotton. Best thing to use for nesting material for Finches. DOESN'T have tiny threads that'll cut toes off when wrapping around like coconut fiber or strings.

This is for indoor small critters...and I got it for a humming bird nest...it will a absorb moisture...it's cotton ..will be great fir mice or hamster. Etc..

My finches won't use ANYTHING else but this for bedding! When my daughter gave me my finches, she had given me a lot of supplies including this bedding. It lasts a long time but eventually, of course, I used it up. I cleaned their bed once after it had run out, so I had put soft fat yarn out for them. One would put it in the nest while the other would take it out! I tried dried grasses. No go. They nest say empty for a long time and they ended up sleeping on a perch. I FINALLY found this! It was one of those "TAHHH DAHHHHH" moments with angelic music in the background. Ha ha ha! Immediately after I received it, I shredded little pieces of just the right size for them to pick up and put in their nest. In no time at all they were going after it! NOW they won't have an empty nest, and they will start going into it again.

This bedding is coarse and hard (for smaller birds) to pull apart and carry away. I normally buy from the pet section at the grocery store - the bedding is smooth and silky soft, so all birds from large to small use it easily and with enthusiasm. This bedding is definitely not for hummingbirds, too harsh and tough, I only ordered it in because I couldn't get to the store quick enough and nest building is going strong NOW. Still good for jays and such, but a soft bedding that covers ALL birds delivers more uses taking less space.

This is very soft nesting material. I'm using for breeding finches and canaries. My birds like it!
