It'll change your life, once you get it up and running
Now that I've got it up and running and connected to Alexa, I love it, absolutely, no reservations love it. The ability to tell Alexa to open and close the Driveway Gate is fantastic and in inclement weather it is so much more. Been working with it for several weeks now and so far it's been reliable and consistent. My only beef is that I've been unable to get IFTTT to work, but that may have nothing to do with the product itself. Had a major problem getting it up and running, could not get the Ismartgate controller to recognize the gate sensor, so while I was able to open and close the gate with the app, Alexa would fail and even the app could not tell whether the gate was open or closed. With the help of tech support, I was able to figure out that they had sent dead batteries in the sensor, soon as I changed the batteries everything came online, I can control the gate with the app, online web access and Alexa. Yes I had control of the gate before with a remote control, but this is the way to gate was supposed to have been designed to work.

So far my favorite smart device
I love the fact that it is working with Alexa and my phone!!!! It’s probably the best smart device we have at home to open our gate! The only issue I have and that’s why it’s all 5 stars - it was difficult to setup because the instructions are very limited and the customer service is ONLY via email - that’s awful!!!! I would like to speak with someone - it would’ve have made things much quicker and smoother in being able to setup - I’m still waiting for a phone call which I keep requesting via email - finally spoke with someone - wonderful very helpful - am actually changing to 5 stars because it truly is worthy of a 5 star review - updated my review to 5 star I wanted to give an update - this is by far one of favorite smart devices! It still works too!!!! Fabulous - definitely worth the money

Not too Smart - Needs software updated, and some actual technical support information
I really wanted to like the product. It does work, but has many issues. 1. Requires a "Reboot" / Power off /On regularly. - Cannot connect via the Android app regularly. Five bars of signal on the wifi with both phone and device. Rebooting fixes for a few day. Answer from Support? Upgrade Firmware to V1.66. Great idea, but nothing on the "Support" section has any information on where to get either the software, nor the firmware to update. There is a file for windows on the "old" site, but no firmware to go with it. The website is a mess of random versions of the product. Finally found unit IS on V1.66. 2. App is "Basic" at best. Only function for the full screen application is a toggle slide to "Open/Close". Setup button only give you the ability to login, again, or add another gate. No ability to change anything. Visually it looks like it was built by a high-school developer as their first app. Want it to be smart, make it available as an applet, with just the open/close. I don't need half a page of a picture of a generic gate. 3. SmartThings - It does NOT work with Smartthings, as it doesn't report that it is Open, only leaves you in a permanent state of "opening". So you can open it, but not ever close it. You have to go back to the ISmartGate app to close the gate. Not useful. 6 Month update. No better. Any internet hiccup causes the unit to got non-responsive. Requiring unplugging the unit. You would think it would be smart enough to re-esstablish a connection to WiFi. The unit has full five bars of signal. The GE Smartswitch 50 feet farther away goes without interruption. This company needs to spend more time on support and product, and less on marketing.

Great product but?
I installed two of this Wi-Fi remote controller at two different locations. Installation is easy if you follow the instructions. Product works great with Wi-Fi, we added several users and get rid of the multiple remote devices that we had to keep track off. However, after six months both controllers failed not the bridge but the gate or door identifier. Replaced batteries no success. Now I am really disappointed.

Make sure you order the correct one!
I purchased this one for a sectional garage door, but it turns out I bought the wrong one for my garage door. If I had just followed the quiz on the website in the first place, I would have realized that. Here are the pros and cons to this opener. 1. PRO: It was VERY easy to install. I followed the directions and downloaded the app first, then attached the wires as instructed to the buttons in the garage that open the door. I thought I might have to attach it to the opener itself (climbing up on a ladder) but I didn't. 2. PRO: Since I purchased the wrong one, installing the sensor was more challenging. Fortunately, customer service is AWESOME! The guy I was emailing with was in England, so accounting for the time difference, he was VERY responsive. It took a bit of back and forth before we figured out I had bought the wrong package, so I ordered a new sensor that will work with my system. 3. The cons: the sensor takes batteries and you have to open it using a screwdriver. The connections in the sensor for the batteries can easily be bent, causing the batteries to not connect properly. I would suggest a redesign on the sensor so that you don't have to use a screwdriver to install and change the batteries, and the metal that touches the batteries is not easy to bend. I would also figure out a better way to attach the sensor other than the adhesive tape that is included. You will have to replace the tape every time you pull the sensor off the door. Overall, I recommend, mostly because despite my issues, customer service was fantastic.
