This Christmas inflatable display has been built up over the years. Every year there has been a problem with the odd electrical cable joint getting water in. This year (2020) the terrible wind & rain caused havoc-several short circuits. I decided to sort the problem out-so I bought these connectors for a trial. They work very well for various size cables and connecting them was very easy for a DIY person. One tip if they are going to be out in all weathers-put a little silicone mastic at the ends to seal them

Screw caps will not tighten to make a waterproof seal - very weak screw threading and poor quality plastic avoid. To cover their trail the makers seem to change their name but the packaging gives them away. I have just thrown these all away and bought a different make. Look for the connectors with orange bands as opposed to yellow bands showing at the major joins - I have bought 3 different types and so much better than this rubbish.
