Not only must John McLaine face taking down the terrorists, he also has to contend with an overworked and grumpy airport police captain, the fact that his wife is on one of the threatened planes and a news reporter wanting the big headlines. Can McLaine single handily restore order to the airport? As well as safely bringing down the plane that his wife Holly is on? It's amazing how going to the airport to pick up his wife leads John Mc to kill loads of people, shout a lot, get beat up bad and then save the day. It's never happened to me at Heathrow. Of course, my girlfriend says it's mindless, stupid, unrealistic and generally hates the film. For all the same reasons I think it's great.
