Don't mess with my Tevas!
I am always hesitant about buying shoes online because I have feet like a hobbit but I researched different brands and settled on this one. And I am very surprised by how much I like them. They don't have a huge arch support but enough of support where I'm not crippled on the ground after hiking 6 hours. They also dry pretty quickly, didn't cause me any sores, and good traction as I was trying to evade Elves while climbing rocks near a waterfall. They are super comfortable and that's saying a lot, coming from a mutant born with 6 toes. They fit is great with my wide feet so the fit is true to size and you can adjust the different straps to fit your feet. The color is also pretty.

Very comfy sandals if they fit; love the color and style
This is my second pair of Teva sandals, bought because I like the Teva Hurricane XLT2 sandals so much. Both are very comfortable and have good support for sandals. Both can get wet with no harm and are good for walking or light hiking. One difference which might matter in fit for some is that the strap around the back of the heel is not adjustable on the Tirra sandal, but it is adjustable on the Hurricane XLT2. Some reviews mention a problem with this. All the other straps are adjustable on both. I do have to make sure I'm not fastening the ankle strap too tightly on the Tirra. My Tirra sandals are in the color Bering Sea, which is becoming hard to find, so this review is for those. (I don't know if the Tirras in the newer colors might be a little different or not.) Bering Sea in lower light is a deep blue with some gray tone, not as dark as navy, with perhaps just a tiny tiny touch of teal or ocean but not much. The color name seems appropriate and I love the color. In bright sunlight it looks more like a medium-to-deep grayish-blue. The trim appears to be black. The product photos for Bering Sea on Amazon don't show the deep blue tones enough on my screen. Also, the fit is a little different, as some other reviews have mentioned. The Tirra seems to run slightly smaller and maybe slightly less true to size than the Hurricane XLT2. I usually wear women's size 8 medium, occasionally 7.5, and I bought both Tevas in size 8. Both fit well enough, but the Tirra's foodbed is not as generous in size as the Hurricane. (See photos of how both fit on me, for comparison. The Hurricane is the color Sunset Simply Taupe. The photo of the soles shows the Hurricane footbed on the left and the Tirra on the right.) I like the width of the Tirra footbed better (for my bony feet) but not the length, which fits a little shorter, more like a 7.5 than an 8 on my feet, maybe because of my long big toes. If in doubt, I'd suggest maybe (??) ordering up a half-size in the Tirra if you have wider feet or extra long toes. Both work for me in my usual size, although the Tirra is shorter on my right foot than I'd prefer. My toe is almost at the top edge which I don't like, but it doesn't overhang. I bought the ones both sold by and shipped by Amazon, not sold by a third party, because a return would be a little easier if needed. I'm also a little wary of knock-offs and receiving a previously returned product. These arrived in a Teva box, but didn't have cardboard inserts in the sandals as my Hurricanes did nor any tags on them. But they didn't appear to have been worn so maybe Teva doesn't put inserts into all of them. ?? Both are 5 stars but there are a couple of differences (back heel strap, footbed shape and size) from some other Teva sandals which may or may not matter for you.

THEY FIT.
I have no idea why this year has been just so difficult to find the shoes that I want. Mmmmk, so, YAAAAYYY! These fit and are comfortable. They are the basic, everyday shoe. In my very humble opinion, these adjustable (in every way that matters) summer shoes fit like Tevas are supposed to fit. As expected, they’re made well, and I anticipate being able to wear them for several seasons. Plus, there’s no flip flop sound to act as a “shoe, GPS, human tracker.” The colors match up well to what was shown on my screen. What I don’t think of them as, is that absolutely required, comfy, easy to dress up OR an elevated casual shoe. Teva shoes are great at being what they are. They are great for the yard, park, lake, hikes, beach, grocery store, pedicure shoe… that you never feel like you’re going to trip over or accidentally fall out of. They are one of those summer basics… which is precisely the reason why so many of us own at least one pair of Tevas.

Better after research!!
I got these sandals for my mom. I heard they’re great for hiking, Disney World, and other places. But when I saw the price, I was like, “Hmm, maybe not.”But they kept getting posted about how comfortable they are. After three days of wearing them, my mom told me that the top part of the sandal hurt her foot. She said the support on the bottom was good, and she liked how light and stylish they were. But she just couldn’t stand the pain she was feeling or getting on the top of her foot. I asked her if she loosened them, and she said she did. But the fit for her on the top of the sandal is still not great. I haven’t looked into what we could do about this yet. Hopefully, we can find a way to make these sandals fit better because they’re not cheap. I gave them a 2 out of 5 because my mom reported that the top of her foot would hurt while wearing them if there was issue I would and she would as well give them a 5. After my research and actually seeing how my mom loosened the straps (she barely loosened it). She loves the comfort and she is working them in like it was suggested.

Comfortable, look great and great arch support
I love these sandals. Great arch support and comfort. I haven’t used for hiking just around town but fit is great and have worn all day. This is my second pair. I bought my first pair which were green retail in a shop in a small store for twice the price and loved the fit so much was glad to get a black pair that go either everything. Great shoes!

The absolute PERFECT sandle!
OMG I absolutely love these sandals. The search was worth it when this is the end result. They are extremely incredibly comfortable. They are adjustable every which way. They don’t hurt my bunion! But maybe most important to me, being the girly girl I am, is they are so cute and I love the color! In all seriousness we are getting ready to go on a pilgrimage to hike almost 100 miles and these are going to be a perfect addition to give me a break from hiking boots and to be able to wear in nasty showers. I can’t recommend highly enough!

The GOAT sandal
I had a pair of these sandals that I wore every summer, almost daily, for 8 years. I finally decided to replace them mostly for cosmetic reasons, as I think they still had another year of life or so left, and ended up just buying the exact same pair! I don’t regret a thing- these are so comfortable, durable, stylish and adjustable! I have worn them hiking, on beaches, in shopping malls, and while rafting. They have always served me well! I love how thick the pad is on them, and even convinced my husband to buy the men’s version, which he agrees is the most comfortable sandal he’s ever owned.

Overall good, but requires socks for comfort
This wasn't an awful purchase. I like the color, the fit. They are comfortable on my feet and provide good support for my arch while fitting my wide feet well. My size is normally 8.5 wide so I selected 8.5 and the sizing seems appropriate. It is perhaps a tiny bit too long and I may have sized down if I had the opportunity to try on multiple sizes at once, but for shoes bought over the internet, sight unseen, I can't really complain about the size. The straps enable a nice, snug fit around my wide feet though I can see how it may be a bit too loose for people with narrow feet. I have one problem: the ankle strap causes blisters on the back of my ankle when worn without socks. I got these specifically for a supportive shoe that I could wear in summer without the need for socks, but I can't really use them beyond short trips (around 30 minutes of walking). I was hoping that they would break in over time, but so far they have not. This was not a problem with my last pair of similar sandals from another brand, which were comfortable for sockless wear right from the get-go. While there are a few differences at play that might explain why my older shoes were more comfortable (including a softer, more fabric-like material and a lower ankle strap which wraps around the heel more then the ankle) I think this issue is more to do with the construction of the shoe. My old ones actually had an ankle strap that was separate from the rest and attached with a piece of elastic. I think this construction enables the strap to move *with* my foot instead of against it as I walk. In contrast, this shoe is made all in one piece which results in an inflexible back strap which wears against the ankle. Some may feel that this provides more support, but I personally don't notice any difference and the blisters are enough to outweigh any potential benefit in that area. It is now past my return window, so I guess I'm just going to deal. I'll wear them for short trips out of my apartment, but for anything longer then that I'm going to need to figure out something to protect my ankle, either socks, bandaids or something else. In any case, I think I will steer clear of this brand (or at least, this model) in the future unless there is a design change. At least I think I've learned something to bare in mind when buying sandals again.
