This stuff is wonderful but confusing.
I'm on a slow quest to cut animal products from my diet. I got my reasons! Most of it has really been no problem, but I love eggs and cutting that was proving difficult. I'll try anything once, so I gave this a shot. The good part is this stuff is delicious. Borderline indistinguishable from real eggs in taste. Ultimately, that's all I care about, so I'm on my third bottle of Just Egg. Total winner. Would buy again. And again. But in the interest of full disclosure: I found cooking it a bit difficult. It doesn't really cook like an egg... the initial pour is quite runny, and I had a tough time hitting that sweet spot between watery mess and fake egg brick. I've got that pretty well dialed in now, and my results are consistent. I've found a little longer cooking at a slightly lower temperature leads to good results. I've read reviews where people can't get a good scramble, or they have problems with sticking & burning, and to them I'd say watch the temp and slow your roll. I'm using pretty average hard anodized Circulon and there's just not been a burning (or cleaning) issue. Pro tip: Just Egg makes the whole Indian bread omelette/egg sandwich thing a knockout success. Some Just Egg, two slices of brioche, and some shredded cheddar (I know, animal product) is a great breakfast.

Best vegan egg
Love Just Egg so much. My daughter loves it too. She’s 4 and loves to cook them herself. I’ve finally mastered an omelette and let me tell you, it’s so delicious! Instead of spending $6-8 on a brekkie sandwich from a coffee shop (which might not even offer plant based egg) you can make one at home and it’s way tastier and bigger. I will say that you need to use it before expiration date, I know obvious right? There are some products you can tell are still good even if a day or two past expiration, but just egg won’t be one of them. It spoils and you can tell. It’s not a huge bottle so using it before the E.D. Isn’t a problem. Overall, I recommend for anyone looking for a good egg substitute.

SAME MAIN COMPLAINT - TOO EXPENSIVE
HOPEFULLY, THE CLAIM THAT THIS PRODUCT IS REALLY MADE FROM BEANS IS TRUE. I REALLY LIKE THIS PRODUCT; I'M A VEGETARIAN BUT I ADMIT TO REALLY LIKING SCRAMBLED EGGS & AN OMELET IN THE MORNINGS. I'VE NEVER CARED FOR COLD CEREAL FOR BREAKFAST; GIVE ME A HOT BREAKFAST WITH LOTS OF GOOD, FRESH HOT COFFEE IN THE MORNING AND I'M HAPPY. I ALSO ADMIT EARLY IN THE A.M. I DON'T REALLY LIKE FACING RAW EGGS. SO WITH "JUST EGG" I THROW IT IN A HOT SKILLED WITH A LITTLE BUTTER & ADD DICED SCALLIONS, RED BELL PEPPER AND DICED CELERY. ADD A TOASTED ENGLISH MUFFIN & YOU'RE READY TO GO. THE ONLY COMPLAINT IS THE PRICE. $6 A BOTTLE WHICH MAKES, IF YOU LIVE ALONE, AS I DO, 2-3 SMALL SERVINGS, NOT VERY COST EFFECTIVE. IF YOU ARE A GROUP OF 4 (2 ADULTS & 2 CHILDREN) IT'S A REALLY LOUSY CHOICE. BUT FOR VEGETARIANS WHO EITHER LIVE ALONE OR A CHILDLESS COUPLE, IT'S A TASTY AND FAST BREAKFAST!!
