This one seemed to be a cut above the others. I wasn't disappointed. Not only was the equipment top notch , but customer service was always good too. I am a retired electrical engineer and so the installation was never a problem. Yet their are always issues due to a particular manufactuers programing. I was frustrated due to that I already installed the most of the hardware but don't see an available option to replace the motor from amazon. I was very disappointed especially if I had to repackage this for return. After exploring all the possibilities, I switched the single gate setup to dual mode and it the motor worked. The single mode works in terminal 6-7 instead of 1-5. Overall, the illustrations and instructions were not clear and need to be improved to save the installer time and headaches. Not only are the instructions bad. Not only does it not work (OK it worked for a day). It was a big waste of time and money. WARNING: If you look at the instructions (which you can't see until you buy it) it says that the solar panel that it came with is not big enough to run the gate on a daily basis. I've read other reviews where people say that the gate will open on a windy day. I guess the manufacturer's solution was to make the gate try to close every minute. This kicks on the light and runs the motor every minute! The batteries didn't last 24 hours because of this.
