Atlantic 63712035 52-DVD/BLU Ray Disc Tower,Multicolor

Edit: 04/05/12 I bought two more of these and couldn't be happier. I am currently fitting my Wii games on there as well as all of my PSP games (although the PSP games are "smaller" than a standard DVD box in width, but in height it's the same), AND best of all, i'm fitting a ton of my manga on it! All standard Japanese size manga (comic) books as well as, say, Tokyopop ones, fit fantastically on it. Out of my stack of about 40 manga, only one standard sized volume didn't fit, and it was due to the thickness of the book. All my other ones fit fine (some slightly tighter than others, but no shoving/cramming! I love my manga far too much to risk damaging any). Only issue you may run across is that as you're putting the books in with the spine shown outwards, the pages may split at the shelf metal, so you just have to be a bit more careful when sliding your books in there. If it took me 2 seconds to slide a game box in there, it only took around 5-7 seconds (or 10 seconds if i'm having a thicker book) to put a book in there instead. Another thing I noticed is that since these are towers, not a real book shelf, you can actually put one tower in front of the other to conserve space, and just move towers around to get to whichever "shelf" you want. WAY more convenient than double stacking (like front and back stacking) on a single bookshelf! I think i want to buy another 2 more (to bring my total to 5)! Single complaint though. I bought two of these together, and amazon shipped them to me in two separate ginormous boxes (the boxes are big enough to fit a 64" TV -_-;;; ). SEPARATE boxes even though I bought them in one go, AND it's clear that you can fit more than one of these towers in a single box. Hell you can probably fit 4 (though in the spirit of making sure nothing gets scratched or dented, 2-3 with a layer of tissue between each would be perfectly fine). Amazon, please help in not wasting so much cardboard (it should save YOU a little money in packaging too!) Original review: I've been in need of some kinda space-saving organizer for my PS2 vidoegames for a while now. they're taking up precious shelf space that needs to go toward my manga and books lol, so after a lot of deliberating, i ended up picking this up. I SO do not regret it! in fact it's one of my best purchases to date. I got the 52 one, and I'm not sure if PS2 game cases are a little thicker (or perhaps it's just "fuller" filling due to the instruction booklet?) but i had no issues with the cases sliding around. All standard cases fit fine, and i was able to fit some slightly larger DVDs on the bottom couple of spaces (which are a smidgen taller). I also have no issues with it falling over/being unstable or anything of the sort. I don't have a pet tho (i can see how that would affect things). I have it placed in a corner next to my bookshelf, on carpet. it's not touching the wall or the bookshelf, but i think since it's in a corner, it's also out of the way and not easily messed with. I'm pretty anal about how things fit too, and had no trouble with making all my games aligned properly. taking a game out never threatens to topple it, and i never had trouble with taking one game out resulting in several other games around it sliding out or being misaligned. It IS too bad that the slots are a little too wide for blu ray cases. those are just thin enough and short enough that it might be more difficult to keep 'em on the shelf. It's doable, but might upset people who have lower irritation tolerance lol. I'm very tempted to get a 2nd one for any stray DVDs i own!

"Oh that? I just bought it off of Amazon.com, the best place to buy shelves, broski!" See that? That's me being satisfied with the reaction this shelf got me at a party I just had. I got this shelf and hafta say it's pretty sweet, bro. It came on the date it was supposed to and it came in awesome condition! I use it to hold all my DVDs and whatnot in order to clear up some space for activities and stuff. This thing does it all, man. It'll hold yer DVDs, Blu-Rays (gotta finesse it, brah!), CDs (stacked 'em on top of some of the DVDs) and other discs if you experiment a bit. I'm pretty happy with this shelf. It did shake a bit on the carpet originally, but if you use the cardboard from the box it ships in and cut of a square bit enough for it to sit on, you'll be in business in no time! All in all I give the shelf a 10/10. Will probably buy from this website again, just cause.

This is a very light weight dvd rack that can hold 52 dvds. I used it to hold my Xbox 360/ps3/Xbox one games. They fit perfectly in each slot and do not fall over. The rack itself comes fully assembled and is extremely light weight. It is not super sturdy but sits comfortably on my shaggy carpet. It would sit more sturdy on hardwood floors however. The only thing that would tip the rack would be if my cat jumped on it or if your floor is uneven. The rack is not stackable but if you put more than one rack side by side it looks nice. CONS: - the rack can only hold one double dvd (a tv series, box set, jewel PC game etc). So if you have a lot of boxed sets or pc games, this rack will not accommodate your needs. The slots are fixed and not adjustable. They will only hold single dvd, blu rays and video games. - the rack is very light and tipsy. But mine hasn't fallen over and I actually like the fact that it is light. But others may find this a disadvantage. - if you have a big collection of multiple dvd box sets you will want to find a specific rack that can hold those. This is an important thing to consider when buying this rack. I give this rack a 4 star rating only due to the fact that it wilk only hole ONE boxed set on the bottom slot. But other than that it is a great rack for the price!

Very easy to assemble. Only 2 items to put together. Piece of cake. Blu Rays are a little small for this rack but work ok. On carpet very easy to tip over. But hard floors no problem.

Don’t dislike product but doesn’t hold disc very well the slip out and I’m always pushing disc back into place. Is not sturdy on carpet would work better on wood floors. Would not recommend buying if you have small children running around is very easily knocked over.

For many months, my HD DVDs, Blu-Ray Discs, and DVDs were piling up in a nice, large heap. I decided that proper storage was in order. I wanted a unique and stylish storage solution for my collection, and that's exactly what I received! I ordered the Atlantic Nestable 52 Tower in Gunmetal in hopes that it would be just adequate; instead, I received a fantastic storage solution! I assumed that the construction would have been flimsy, given the low price point. However, the tower has a strong, sturdy, and almost heavy feel to it. It definitely exceeds my expectations in every way. My collection of movies now rests in a stylish, elegant tower. They are not sitting on a hardwood surface, but rather carpet. This posed no problem for me; the tower still sits in an appropriate way so no cases fall off or shift position. If you have kids that will play near it, I recommend either teaching them it's an off limits area, or not buying it. If you push it, it will easily fall over; but no product can avert that inevitability. My only qualm with the delivery was the box used to ship the item. Amazon shipped in a very large box; you could have fit 4 of these in 1 box. However, given the odd shape, perhaps there were few shipment options available. Needless to say, it was funny to arrive home and find that UPS left this outside my apartment. The foyer has 4 doors, and it looked like the box was taking up all the space! It gave me a good laugh. All in all, great product! The perfect addition to every living space; so perfect, I need to buy another - this one is now full.

Excellent storage solution for DVDs and console games. Just got a second rack, one for movies and one for games. I would say at this point, each rack is a little over half full - and me being so empirically lazy as to find the notion of bending over too far to be distasteful, all of the games and movies are at the top of the racks. The racks have stayed surprisingly stable, even with all of the weight at the top. There are just a couple things I would change. First, I'd have at least one more double-thick slot for boxed sets (as it is, there is one double slot on the bottom of each rack), or at least have a couple removable wires for flexibility. Second, I'd add a couple metal tabs with holes in them to the support wires in back to make it easily wall-mountable (even though it wouldn't look the best, it'd be nice to have the option anyway). Neither of these nitpicky criticisms detract from the quality and convenience of this cheap, high capacity and more than serviceable product. Recommended, with cheap, utilitarian bells on.

My son wanted one of these for Xmas, 2012. He was very happy with it, and so was I so. So happy that I ordered one for my daughter last Friday and had it delivered today - and with free shipping through Amazon Prime. This is a great organizer, and at less than $20, well worth the price. It's sturdy but lightweight, so it works best if you first load some heavier items into the bottom racks to avoid it tipping over. Best of all, there is no assembly required! I can see myself buying additional units as the kids' game and movie collections expand, because thanks to the Atlantic 63712035, I CAN ONCE AGAIN SEE THE FLOORS IN THEIR BEDROOMS! :) A great product with great service from the manufacturer/distributor. Recommended.
