DC Direct Mad Vinyl: Spy vs. Spy 2-Pack

Well made vinyl toys at a very reasonable price. Many collector's toys are quite expensive and can be lacking in the execution department. If you CAREFULLY position new hands, weapon accessories and hat, arms and legs, there will be no problem in avoiding breakage. These are not toys for small children, that is not what they were designed for. These ARE toys designed for bigger kids, say ages 14-99. The finishing is of excellent quality and keeping the figures upright is not a problem if you position them correctly and are aware of how arm and weapon orientation affect balance. Great product, very happy with the purchase!

The spy figures are pretty durable except for the arms. They taper to the shoulder and the pin that attaches it to the body is extremely tiny. The arms move up and down, but do so carefully. Not sure why this one's arm snapped off like it did. The only way we can repair it will be to glue it; limiting the poses. These figures are not action figures. They are good to look at, but I would not recommend for any type of play.

This was a great gift my boys were looking forward to. However, it has movable arms, but the arm broke off. I think it was just a slight defect in that one arm. We had no problems with any other arms. We returned this item. It was the simplest return ever. Thanks for taking care of it so quickly Amazon!

Super cool! Very large. However there was a sloppy glue job on mine and it had glue running out the bottom of his armpits.

Great sculpts and genuinely fun -- I thought the previous smaller Spy figurines looked a little overweight and dumpy, and these two are much sleeker and slimmer, befitting the original Prohias design. And make no mistake, these guys are a LOT bigger than you think they're going to be. I believe they're 9-10 inch figures, so you need to have appropriate shelf space if you want to display them. I do wish the weapons "fit" their hands a bit better, but the figure set also contains a variety of interchangeable hands, so if one set doesn't work you can always try another.Now if only we could get a bombshell reproduction of the notorious female Grey Spy... I'd love to display her in between these two!

Forget anything u know about Spy vs. Spy.. whether you dig em O not. It's all about a simple design that could have a huge impact. This is what they are.Very well made. Such a fun sculpt.. well thought out with very little articulation that will satisfy. They were bigger than I thought they'd be. I like all the interchangeable hands and weapons. They are not meant to be played with. Not much anyway. The arms broke off of both of them. The peg of the arm that connects into the hole broke and one just didn't seem to fit back in. I tried super gluing but didn't last long. So they aren't very durable but if you want to just keep them on the shelf, they are cool to have.

I've been a fan of Mad Magazine since 1971, when, as a 3rd grader living in Greece, I discovered it. My Dad was In the US Air Force stationed at Mt. Petaras. Back then, U.S. TV wasnt great. Greek TV was useless to watch. Consequently, I developed a strong reading habit. I had an eclectic taste ranging from the classics to Popular Science and Mechanics, to comics and Mad Magazine. By far, Spy vs. Spy was my favorite part of Mad.These figures are poseable and look so much like the drawings. I really like them.
