Believe me, while the pictures are small and don't take much time, some papers have so much texture that there is no possible way to really get into any detail at all, even with very sharp pencils. This new paper is textured, but with a finer grain that suits my little project perfectly. The picture of salt is drawn on this new paper, while the phoenix is on another kind of paper with far greater texture. The detail is lost on the phoenix. I love these U.S. Art Supply 4 color Pastel sheets. The fact that it came in a pack of 2 tablets means it will last me a while, far beyond my current project. I am very happy with this paper and recommend it. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ For a the inner pastels I really liked the paper. I don't really have anything to compare it to. *by on Reviewed in the United States January 20, 2026* This is the first time i've ever used pastels, and I really like the paper. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good for Mixed Media *by on Reviewed in the United States December 3, 2015* I am just getting into art, so I wanted to find some cheap paper that would allow me to (1) practice without worrying about wasting paper on stuff that isn't that good and (2) would allow me to use charcoal, pencils, and pastels without needing to buy different pads for each. This pad was nice and cheap at $6 at the time I bought it. It comes with 4 different colors (white, cream, a light tanish, and a greyish colour), with 4I' sheets of each. It has enough tooth for pastels to stick, but it isn't so bumpy that sketching doesn't feel smooth. It's also a nice thickness for pastels - it was holding up nicely even when I was pressing hard with pastels. If you are doing only pastels, a paper with more tooth will probably be desired but for me, this was best for affordability and using mixed media. ## Frequently Bought Together - U.S. Art Supply 9" x 12" Premium Pastel Paper Pad, 80 Pound (180gsm), Assorted Natural Tone Paper Colors, Pad of 16-Sheets (Pack of 2 Pads) - Artecho Oil Pastels Set of 48 Colors, Soft Oil Pastels for Art Painting, Drawing, Blending, Oil Crayons Pastels Art Supplies for Artists, Beginners, Students, Teachers (10 x 70 mm) - Strathmore 400 Series Pastel Pad, Assorted Colors, 9"x12" Glue Bound, 24 Sheets --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.id/products/12292249-9-x-12-pastel-paper-pad-2-pack-32-sheet](https://www.desertcart.id/products/12292249-9-x-12-pastel-paper-pad-2-pack-32-sheet) --- *Product available on Desertcart Indonesia* *Store origin: ID* *Last updated: 2026-11-03*
