Great battery. Ideal for use in an impact driver, multi tool, heated jacket and much more. These batteries are well built and work very well but they're best used in tools that don't require a lot of power or tools you aren't using for a long period of time. For example, one great use for this is in a sheet rock gun. The dewalt sheet rock guns don't run the batteries down super quick and it's very convenient when you can use a small light weight battery (especially when working overhead). On the other hand, these aren't best to use in an angle grinder, 1/2 in impact, etc... I've had this battery around a year and it is still going strong. The one thing I dislike about this battery is it doesn't have a charge indicator light like the bigger batteries. It's overall a great battery but it's only good for certain tools and circumstances. Exact replacement for 2012 DeWalt impact driver I have had for years. I guess the old battery just wore out--it didn't get used too much in recent years and would not charge. This replacement is the same identical 1.5 AH battery. There are batteries with more capacity but they weigh more and I don't need the extra run time.

You can find lots of knock off batteries that are very inexpensive. I tried one. The reviews looked good and the price was great. But I returned them because they didn't make good contact in the charger and felt like they would come loose and possibly fall out during use. So I bought one of these. The price was not bad, and it fits in the charger exactly like the batteries that came with my drill, it's a nice snug fit in the drill itself, and it has the same charge life as the original battery. This is what I would expect buying an OEM battery. Beware of those off brand batteries.

It seems to work, but it didn't come in any type of packaging. It was listed like it was Dewalt brand selling on amazon, but it's from a 3rd party. I have no idea how long this battery will last, but it sure isn't going to qualify for a Dewalt warranty. For $35 i'm taking a chance.

This is little battery altough rated as a 2.5ah battery gives an output of 5ah battery.It features a battery life display on the back accessible with the push of a button and is tough enough to handle hours on an XR demolition hammer. Due to their small size and enhanced built-in technology when paired with the quick charger you will have it ready to go in a couple minutes. Sometimes bigger ah batteries are necessary as they provide a better output,but this little guy means business!And with a cheap price too along with its name😁I have dozens of these and highly recommend them to you all,10/10 product👍🏻
