I notice a big difference in the amount of swelling when I take this - I take 2 in the morning, most mornings. A lot of the soreness went away and a lot of the swelling went down. I forgot to take it for a few days and the swelling is back and the soreness is also back. I appreciate they list both the GDU amount (what consumers need for accurate purchasing), the size of their tablet (200mg), and what you get (exact GDU value) in each 200mg tablet. The next best price I have found on Amazon is for Source Naturals at (about) double Swanson's price (yet providing a higher 300 GDU dose with each capsule).Websites that once provided general Bromelain dosing requirements for typical ailments are apparently being cleaned-up/removed. People trying to determine what GDU value is required will find it hard to obtain this information. Many friendly websites including medical ones provide the size of the pill to take...which is a meaningless gesture as they do not identify the potency (GDU values) assigned to the size of pills described. Doctors do have a union, the AMA, afterall. Large doses of Bromelain will affect other medications as cited on most medically-helpful websites.Bromelain may have a side effect addressed by another Amazon product (albeit outdated) called "Pineapple Express"; touting the benefits of large sustained doses of fresh pineapple by men.Beyond cost, I offer my praise for the alacrity Swanson provided this shipment.
