**Q: Are these small enough to putnon top of cake**
A: yes, they would fit atop just about any size cake.

**Q: Are these pre-painted? Or do i have to paint them myself?**
A: Not only do you have to paint them yourself, but you have to build them yourself as well, which I didn't realize when I bought this - needless to say it's still on my To-Do list!  LOL

**Q: Do the drawers work on the tool box**
A: No, the drawers do not open.

**Q: my question is: don’t you people read the description provided when you first look at an item!, this says: “model building kit”...?**
A: What description?  There is nothing that says it is a "model kit."  I have bought 3 others that looked very similar (this one had a few extra pieces that weren't in the others) but they came assembled and painted.  This would take a month to put together and paint.  10 ounces of molded plastic for $28.00?  This would be a good joke, but I actually spent the money!  Criminal.

Every part has to be painted and assembled. Some parts very fragile, they break when you separate them from the plastic holders.
