Great non-stick, even heat
Terrific griddle, sturdy and totally non-stick. Fits perfectly on my gas burner. I have had this for over a year and it still looks new. I use silicone utensils and I do hand wash but it cleans very easily. Heats evenly. Has a nice heft without being overly heavy. Very happy with this griddle.

great clean ceramic non-stick pan made in S. Korea, high performing release, good value
I bought this pan at the same time as a Vesuvio and a Moneta Azul Finegres. i know that some reviewers here have said that their box said tis pan contains teflon, it does not, that was a misprint, I contacted Techef USA from their website and asked, this is truly PTFE (Teflon) and PFOA free. I was looking for cookware not made in China, so I love that this pan is made in South Korea. The non-stick performance of this Techef Cerraterra is great and I already knew very well how to care for it to keep it performing. It is a great size for small crepes and omelets, the slope of the side is little more than I'd like for sliding things out but the release is so good it still works very well. The handle is comfortable and ergonomic, and this pan cooked evenly and heated up quickly too. I did find that the rivets tended to retain stuff it seemed no matter how hard I tried to clean around them and I would sometimes get dribbles coming out of them as I preheated the pan, but on my next Techef I will be more careful to not get food/oil/butter that high in the pan as to collect under the rivets. I say next pan because I did end up killing this pan. I accidentally left it unattended preheating oil too long and it carbonized really badly, and though I was able to remove all of it there was a small coin sized patch that was never non-stick again even despite the baking soda trick. This pan is affordable enough though that I have no problem buying a replacement and I also plan on buying one for my mother who has arthritis in her wrists and could use a small, light weight, high performing non-stick, healthy pan.

One of My Favorite Pans!
I have been slowly replacing my well-known brand name cookware sets with TeChef products - from kitchen shears to many different types of pans. Not only they have exceeded my expectation, but also they have proved to be quality products. I have a college kiddo who lives off of eggs and ground beef dishes, so I gave my old pan and got myself a new square pan. It is a nonstick pan, heats quickly and evenly, its handle doesn't get hot easily, foods just slide out, and the cleaning is a breeze! I have made pancakes, french toast, fried eggs, omelettes, reheated leftovers and many more, and have been very happy with how they turned out. It is a perfect size for a personal or small family use, so I'll probably get another for my other college kiddo who is moving into an apartment this summer. Even though this is dishwasher-safe, I always hand wash to prevent damage to the nonstick coating. It'll last you a LONG time and become one of your best buddies in the kitchen. Highly recommend!!

Ceramic coating chipped in 2 months. Not good choice if health conscious.
It was great for the first couple weeks, all the food cooked with minimum oil and without sticking and cleans easily with sponge and water, no soaking was necessary. It was perfect at first. But that did not last. After a few weeks of use, food began to be burnt more and more and generally form a burnt layer that stick to the bottom. I learned to live with this problem by soaking it in water overnight, so not to damage the ceramic coating by scrubbing too hard. But the coating chipped off anyway around 2.5 months It started out as tiny small black specks that I thought was burnt food, but it became clear that they were chipped coating as I can feel the black metal underneath, which was surprising that it was not shinny aluminum as I thought this pot was constructed of, so I suspect the black layer underneath is another layer of material some type. I use silicone utensils, so it is not abused in any way, in fact, the exterior paint is in perfect condition still. It's the ceramic coating that is clearly the weak link here. The slow deterioration is very troublesome for health reasons if you are buying those PFAS-free pots thinking it would be safer, but the deterioration of the non-stick ability suggest there is a change in the chemical makeup of the coating that likely became part of the food, not to mention the ceramic paint chips that I probably ingested. I highly caution other buyers to reconsider before buying this pot.

Best non-stick pan I've ever owned - a few tips on care...
This is an absolutely phenomenal non-stick pan for the price. I'd actually pay twice the price for it, honestly. The base is hefty and thick, the handle stays fairly cool (unless you put it in the oven, of course) and it is very durable. There's not a single scratch on the coating so far, although I will note that I try to avoid using metal utensils on it as much as possible. It's still super non-stick and food just slides right out of the pan, even gyoza! I believe that the issues some other reviewers have had can be remedied by these tips: - Do not use olive oil for sauteing in this pan, if you can avoid it. Butter, coconut oil and vegetable oils like sunflower, avocado (my favorite), grapeseed or peanut oils are better choices. I believe that olive oil tends to leave a residue on the pan when it is heated too high, which is difficult to remove. Also DO NOT use non-stick spray in this pan! It's worse than olive oil and can bind to the ceramic. - Although the coating can stand up to metal utensils, try to avoid using them during cooking. I've found that serving out of the pan with metal spoons or tongs has been fine, but wood, bamboo or silicone should be used for the actual cooking process just to be on the safe side. - Do not heat the pan to hotter than 400F, or a medium to medium-high heat on the burner. - Don't heat up the pan with nothing in it. Always have some oil, butter or water in it while heating. - If you find the pan is becoming difficult to clean or seems to be losing its non-stick properties, try using Le Creuset enamel cleaner. This will restore the surface of the ceramic and remove any baked on residue from oils. - Never put this pan in the dishwasher. Ever! Only hand wash with mild liquid dish soap and a sponge or plastic brush. Following these steps, my pan is still like new after daily use. It really is a high quality pan at an amazing price- you just need to take care of it and use it properly, as you would any specialty pan like an enameled cast iron or Teflon one. Each of them have special care needs and this one isn't any different, but it's definitely worth it for such an excellent, non-toxic pan!

Pan is sturdy and surface is extremey stick resistant.
What I like about it: 1) Extremely slippery surface. I have even browned up sea scallops in butter and not even the teensiest bit of anything stuck to pan. 2) The shape has squared corners and straight sides. The main reason I like this that pretty much all spatulas have straight edges and so can be awkward to get under food which is near an edge. That isn't the case with a straight edge pan like this. It makes getting under food easy, even when it is up to the edge of the pan. Things like eggs are much easier to handle without mangling them. 3) Super easy to clean. Because it is so slippery, the pan is practically clean before you take it off the range. No scrubbing is ever required. Just gentile washing and rinsing is all you have to do. 4) The edge opposite the handle is angled out a bit from the pure vertical. This makes it easy to "dump" the pan contents. This gives you a fast and easy alternative to picking the food up and out if you wish. 5) Even though the base metal is aluminum, it incorporates a steel pad to make it induction capable. There are also some things I'm not as thrilled about. There aren't any show stoppers but are at least mildly disappointing: 1) It is sold as having a non stick surface provided by a ceramic coating, yet uses PTFE (Teflon)? For myself, and I'm sure many others, the point of going with ceramic is to achieve non stick properties while still being safe to use at higher heat levels. Because this does have PTFE, I limit its use to heat of medium or lower. There is still a lot you can do in that heat range, but still it would be best to not be limited. 2) The way the steel induction pad is incorporated into the pan causes there to be a slight raised area in the center of the cooking surface rather than a completely flat surface. It is not much and can be easy to miss with casual observation, but if you have only a small amount of butter or oil in the pan, it will tend to migrate to the perimeter and away from the center of the pan. The very best design of including heat spreaders and/or induction plates is having them sandwiched within layers of base metal, so that both the range contacting surface and the cooking surface are completely flat. That is more expensive to manufacture though, and I didn't happen to run across such a beast here on Amazon when I was browsing the offerings. Like I said, those aren't huge issues, and I still would buy & use this pan if I had it to do over again. I do want to mention these experiences though to potentially help others if it would be more of a concern to them.

What a great griddle!
I received this for Mother’s Day. I love it! The weigh of it is nice-it’s made of heavy aluminum. I like that I can use it in the oven as well as on the stove top. And, most of all, I love that I can put it in my dishwasher! I know it will get LOTS of use.

Great replacement for Teflon!
Solid build, hard coating, no sticking. Works great for grilled sandwiches, french toast, pancakes, bacon, and likely anything else you’d use this for. Washes up easily. Best of all: no micro-plastics!

Perfect size, nice and light, and works on induction stoves!
Been looking for a replacement 'small square' frypan for my sister-in-law. Took me years to finally come across this 8 1/2" pan. Loved it so much I ordered 2 - 1 for her and 1 for me. They arrived quickly and am I ever impressed with the quality. Doesn't really need the silicone handle cover but I mistakenly ordered 12 of them instead of one for my cast iron fry pan. A beautiful little pan for my induction stove, nice and light too.. Perfect for my grilled cheese sandwiches, and need I say, from now on, all my omelettes will be square!

Excelente marca!

Love this lil pan!
I love this lil pan! It works great for eggs and whatever else you want to cook in it. I use a tiny bit of avocado oil and it works like a charm. It does get very hot, so wait till it cools off to wash it and wipe it clean. It cleans like a breeze! Am very happy with my purchase. Would recommend this product.

Omelettes perfectos
Lo uso para omelettes normales. La forma rectangular es ideal para que queden perfectos y del mismo tamaño siempre. Es el segundo sartén que compro. En este caso fue para regalo y gustó mucho. ¡Super compra!
