I like that the horse bit has been designed a bit more delicately than most other similar shoes. The color has a bit of a bronze/almost coppery glint to it. They are well made with no seam on the sides (hard to describe, but many less expensive slides cut the upper leather in a way that makes a seem above where your arch is. These are all one piece of leather in that spot) They are true to size for me although I do wish they were just a hair longer. I do think a size up would be too big over all though. They feel comfortable. A tad squeaky on carpet, but I expect that will fade once they break in a bit. the leather is soft but still holds it's shape with some creasing across the top to be expected. The inner and outer leathers match up perfectly and there is no glue showing around the sole. I feel very chic in these shoes. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ updated review! Still great but other options out there. *by R***Y on February 27, 2019* At first amazon sent me a box with 2 left shoes, which was kind of funny, but only because they have an amazing exchange policy and once I reported the error they shipped out another pair right away. This time I had a left and right show.. yay! Right out if the box you can tell these shoes look expensive. They are VERY close to the Princetown mule but they are NOT a 1:1 dupe. I ordered a closer pair from another amazon seller and once I get those I will update with comparisons (unfortunately the other pairs are not prime so the review will have to wait a month) . Even the packaging is impressive with a sturdy shoe box, 2 smaller/thinner dust bags for each shoe, and 1 larger fabric bag that could fit both shoes. The shoes are a little smelly at first but since they’re going on my feet I didn’t really care. The attention to detail is great- double stitching around the opening of the shoe, each leather component is cut neatly, and there is no visible glue anywhere. The horsebit is definitely a little more delicate than the original, it is slightly smaller and there isn’t the large bar that connects to the loops. Once you walk around in them the leather will crease, but I’ve also seen that on the original shoes. I ordered an 8.5 and they fit great, there is maybe a 1/2 inch space between my heel and the end of the shoe. I tend to be an 8.5 in closed boots/shoes and a 7.5-8 in sandal. Overall I’m pretty happy with my purchase and know I will get good use out of them.Update: been wearing these out and about and LOVE them. Smell has worn off and they have been very comfortable.HOWEVERThe other pair that I mentioned earlier did come in today and I have to say that for half the price that I paid for the kaitlyn pans, I almost prefer them. They are not offered with prime shipping, which sucks, but they did come a week and a half earlier than expected. This is my first inspection of them and my opinion may change. The Horsebit is definitely similar to the original GC shoe. There is double stitching at the tongue as well. I also LOVE how the bottom of the shoe has more rubber for stability. The KP shoes lack in that capacity and they almost are slippery. The cones of the other shoes are: the factory/paint smell is definitely stronger and the cut of the sole portion isn’t as near as KP, but again at half the price it’s a detail that is neglible. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Best Gucci dupe out there! *by P***A on November 3, 2018* I have several Gucci loafers and these look and feel like the real thing for only a fraction of the cost.
