Hollow Knight (PS4)

This is such a fantastic and beautiful game. This is one of the best video games I have ever played. I have played games like final fantasy 7 original, to games like dark souls 1 and even peppa pig games. I know games very well, beaten likely hundreds of different AAA and indie games, and 100%ed many games like sekiro. But hollow knight is not quite anything I’ve played before. I have played 2d games, and metroidvanias, but this game is just something else. If I were to describe it as basic as possible, I’d say it’s a mix of dark souls and a metroidvania. And the dark souls games are some of the best games I’ve ever played. I definitely recommend this game. I know it can be hard to get into at the beginning, but it’s so worth it. It’s like red dead redemption two, just get through the snow level and you’ll find something great that will change your view on games forever. -and by the way, play hollow knight: Silksong after this one, they both are fantastic. I 100%ed silksong too just so you know I know what I’m talking about. But I’ll warn you now, Silksong is much harder than hollow knight.

Fun game, can be quite challenging but very enjoyable

Hollow Knight was a sale buy I got on computer a year back. I am not a metroidvania kind of guy and I’m still not. Regardless, this expansive world of mystery and expertly crafted beauty stands as one of my favourite games of all time. I have bought this version of the game for a friend who does not own a computer and he loves it. My only complaints are that I cannot play it fresh a second time and the sequel does not yet have a release date.

Lovely little gem of a game, immaculately made, looks, sounds and feels amazing to play. Difficulty can be punishing at times but gameplay means it’s incredibly rewarding. Physical copy includes lovely artwork and highly valuable map to help guide you along!

Hollow Knight is a challenging and classic 2D action-adventure, Metroidvania style and addictive. You willl explore twisting caverns, battle tainted creatures and escape intricate traps, all to solve an ancient long-hidden mystery.

This is my favourite game of all time and I've played it on both PC and now on PS5. First off the visuals, music and gameplay are astounding and for an indie game that came out in 2017 they absolutely still hold up. The game is well worth the price especially when the team behind released free DLC expansions that added content such as boss rush modes, extra chapters to the story and new bosses to find and fight! It has a heap of replayability, a difficulty that feels rewarding to those who put the effort in and even a sequel set to come out soon! I would 100% recommend this game and hope you enjoy it as much as I do!
