Great quality and value for the money!
I purchased these saddle blanks to make a new saddle for one of my guitars. These are a whole lot cheaper in price compared to purchasing blanks from some of the other major retailers online. The quality of these saddle blanks are great and the size is perfect for what I needed. I can't really tell that it made a difference with the sound of my guitar, but that being said, I know these will last a lifetime compared to the cheap plastic that guitar companies install on their guitars. Oh yeah, one added feature that I like is that they included 2 pieces of emory cloth for polishing the saddle after I got it shaped the way I needed it to be. That prevented me from making an extra purchase.

Highly recommended product.
I have been through a lot of Bone Nuts and Saddles over the last 60 years and many that came at a much higher price. These are just as good or better than the others. I have already used one of the nuts on an old Seagull and it brought it to life, with a much better and brighter sound. They are cut right, the color is great, the Bone is dense. I still have extra to use for future replacements. This has to be one of the best buys on Amazon for Nut and Saddle replacements. Thank you, Walter

Just call me Lex Luthior,
My Enya Concert has a neck that warps a liitle every winter, and I was using shims to raise the saddle saddle to keep the G string from buzzing. Decided to put in a higher bridge, and it turns out you either get a Luthier or yourself to do it, I had purchased a precut, but it was the wrong size. The bare stock is a little thicker, a bit higher and longer. You got have to shape it to the right dimensions. Used hacksaw, file, and sandpaper (supplied). The bone shapes easily. Work slow and you can copy the old one. THe ENya is an inexpensive instrument, so I'm happy it can be played without buzzing again.

MEASUREMENTS ARE AS LISTED !!!
These blanks are some of the best I've seen over my years of making saddles and nuts. They measure as described and are in beautiful condition. They're even in every aspect and the price is just incredible. If you do this alot ya know sometimes ya get stuff that isn't quite up to snuff. Not these !!! Will update when work starts. I don't know if being of Buffalo bone made the difference. BUT !!!! OMG these were so easy to work with. By the time I was on my 3rd fitting I wasn't even using a jig ( I do not suggest this for novice users ). The material takes to filing incredibly and they polish like gems. I can't say enough about these parts and the Brand "Music One" . I will buy more from this outlet and """HIGHLY RECOMMEND""" !!!! Thanks Music One for being a righteous manufacturer for those of us who do this for a living. 👍✌

Excellent Quality - Works Great!
Just some background. I have a Cedar Top Takamine and I wanted to lower the action at the higher frets because I like to play acoustic solos up there and the action was a tad high for my tastes. I bought the bridge blanks and they are of very high quality. But remember, these are raw blanks. You have to work them to fit your application. I took off the original from my guitar, but I did make a small pencil mark on it to indicate which side was at the Low E so I wouldn't get it backwards later. I then traced out the outline on the blank with the pencil. I had to cut it down lengthwise because it is too long. I then used a bench grinder to carefully get it close to the pencil mark. I then used 150 grit sandpaper to get it to exactly the shape and contour of the original. I then took off an additional 1mm from the bottom so the strings would be lower. That wasn't the end of it. The thickness of the blanks were 2.9mm according to my calipers. The original Takamine was 2.65mm. This actually was the most cumbersome part. I had to lay it flat and sand each side carefully, until it was down to 2.65mm. Its cumbersome because its hard to grip it and sand because it is so thin. Anyhow, after this, I installed it and it worked great! I love the fact that I did it myself and it came out so wonderfully. A fresh set of Stainless Monel strings and the Tak sounds like a blues dream! So if you have the gumption, go ahead! Just be aware that it will take some diligence and don't rush it. The results are great. Highly recommended!

Fantastic upgrade for a classical
I used this on a classical guitar that had a Graphtec Tusq saddle, motivated by youtube videos comparing the sound of both. I find the sound of bone richer and more nuanced; of course this is subjective. But IMHO it sounds clearly better. The other reason is wear: Tusq is easier to shape because it is softer, but for the same reason strings dented the surface, which I don't think is great for tuning stability. This took some time, but it got into a beautiful polish after going through all grits in my micro-cloth pads set. I used an orbital sander for initial pre-shaping (of course, removing less than needed). Great buy. Recommended if you have the tools and patience.

These are great, they are made of real bone. These are blank bone nuts, if you are a DIY(Do it Yourself) kinda person like me these are for you. You’ll need sandpaper and some files to bring them in shape that will fit your nut slot, you can use your already available nut on your guitar as reference and for markings. And regarding making nut slots you can use “feeler gauge” you can search regarding that on YouTube, also alternatively you can also use your guitar strings itself to make slots with their respective string gauges. Note that I am a beginner guitarist, been playing acoustic guitar for 6 months and this is my first DIY in regards to working with guitar, the nut on my guitar(Yamaha 310) is made of plastic. I read that bone material can improve overall tone of guitar, therefore I purchased these bone nuts. I totally recommend them.
