Oz: Escaping the international modeling scene to design my own fashion collection is the first step to shucking my bobble-headed supermodel reputation and proving to the world Iโm more than just a pretty face. But the minute I have to accept roadside help from the sexy man next door, I feel like the airhead people think I am. And whatโs worse, the man clearly doesnโt think Iโm worth the time of day. But despite trying to ignore my attraction to the mysterious doctor, I canโt help but be drawn to him. With every moment spent together, I begin to realize heโs hiding more than just some details of his past. He has one foot out the door. As soon as I start to feel like everything might be coming together for me, I realize the man Iโm falling in love with isnโt who I thought he was. Jake: After three years on the run for being in the wrong place at the wrong time, Iโve finally found a seemingly safe place to settle in Haven, Colorado. With friends, a job, and a cabin in the woods, I have everything I need to live a simple life without drawing attention to myself. Everythingโs fine. Fine. Until I meet my new neighbor. The gorgeous man is anything but subtle and brings color to my life that I didnโt know was missing. But I learned years ago that falling in love with someone wasnโt an option anymore when simply being seen with me could have dire consequences. Itโs time for me to run again, but I wonder if itโs safe to stick around just long enough for a tasteโฆ Just when I begin to realize Oz is the missing piece to bring me back to life after years of hiding, my past catches up to me and throws everyone around me into danger. I know I should run, but what if itโs time to finally stop running and make a stand, once and for all? While Body and Soul is the third book in the Twist of Fate series, each novel can easily be read as a standalone. Review: BooBears and penguins, oh my! - Body and Soul is the story of Jake, who we first met in Lost and Found, and Oz who was introduced at the end of Safe and Sound. Well, and also BooBear, but mainly Jake and Oz. In Lost and Found it was pretty clear that there was a lot of mystery surrounding Jake and his past. I was really looking forward to his story and finding out just what was going on. I was NOT disappointed. Let me tell you. Jake starts off a bit prickly and standoffish toward Oz. And I kept telling myself to cut him some slack because I know he has a reason, even if I don't know what it is of course. And I know from reading Lucy and Sloane that It'll be a good reason. But I did admittedly direct a few huffy sighs his way, thinking just tell poor Oz what's going on, it can't be as big of a deal as he's making it. Well, I'm not giving you any spoilers, but I will reassure you that his behavior and his reason were justified. So Jake, here is a big apology from me to you for all of the huffs and pointed looks. Oz is just this wonderful, adorable, hilarious guy, with a big big heart, that I wish I could be friends with. That's not to say that Jake wasn't also likable, lovable, funny and awesome. But he was reserved while Oz just let his Oz light shine bright right from the start. If you've read the other two books, you'll absolutely want to read this one. If you haven't, I definitely recommend you do, but I don't think it's absolutely necessary. Yes, Xander and Bennett and Lucky from the first story are in this one a little bit. Yay! And Ash and Aiden from the second make an appearance. But it's told in such a way that you don't need their stories to enjoy this one. But those stories are pretty awesome so you might as well just start at the very beginning. It's a very good place to start :) But if you're a rebel, and don't like being told how to live your life, then no worries you should absolutely still fully enjoy Body and Soul. I can't imagine you wouldn't. Lucy Lennox and Sloane Kennedy are two authors that are amazing at making me happy even in the midst of difficult real life...life. I laugh out loud, literally, I get sore cheeks from big stupid grins. My heart gets all full and squishy from all of the love and happy feels. The fan gets turned on when temperatures start to rise **wink, wink** And -and this is really pretty significant- they manage to get past my emotional barriers that fight for all their worth to not cry or feel the bad feels. I highly recommend Body and Soul, all of the Twist of Fate series and really anything and everything written by either author. Review: A good read - I was ready for bloody Jake's story and it didn't disappoint. Oz is the cutest! Snow tires option...lol...I laughed so hard. Boobaby, how cute.

'A' rating...
My Review: I love this series, but I think this has been my favorite book in it so far. Oz and Jake are just such an unlikely couple, but that's what makes them so much fun together. In the beginning, Oz is super high maintenance. He's an elite model, but he's here trying to prove something to himself and to others who've underestimated him. But it's a really steep learning curve since he's living pretty much in the wilderness with only Jake between him and a lot of trouble. But Jake wants NOTHING to do with Oz. While the guy is gorgeous, he's also a lot of trouble that Jake can't handle. He's not a guy made for commitment or even a fling. He can't get attached. Jake is a mysterious conundrum. It's obvious fairly quickly in the book that something has happened in his past that he's running or escaping from. He doesn't talk about anything personal...at all. There were a lot of twists and turns to the story and quite a bit of action that I wasn't expecting. I loved that. It's a great book. I definitely fell in love with both Jake and Oz. They're amazing characters. I definitely recommend this one.

I love it!
I had a hard time coming up with the words for this review, not wanting to repeat what was said in my reviews for the first two of the Twist of Fate series. So that leaves me with this: I love this book. It's funny, suspenseful, passionate and touching. The first two books are wonderful, but I think this one is even better. Jake and Oz are such different people but mesh beautifully, forming a couple that is at once quirky and responsible, outgoing and reserved. Their personalities and the insight into their hearts and minds make it easy to fall in love with both of them. The secondary characters from the previous books support the storyline and give a nice look into their lives since the end of their books. Lucy Lennox and Sloane Kennedy have done it again. Their collaborations continue to produce people, places, and situations that readers can relate to while representing each authors perspective. I am looking forward to whatever comes next from these authors, both together and apart.

Opposites Attract
Canโt tell a book by its cover. Oz is supermodel, Jack is a little more of puzzle, both are hiding in plain sight. Oh my Boo ๐พ Thereโs plenty of Xander, Bennett, and rest of our the peanut gallery.

This was so good.
Ok, Jake and Oz have unbelievable chemistry. Jake has problems. Oz has enough sweet and heartmelt to remove glaciers. Together they are unbelievable and they will, most definitely, get another dog. The one they have is gorgeous, though. 10/10, would recommend.

Arduous reading...
I completely enjoyed the first two installments of the "Twist of Fate" series. The story-lines were believable and intriguing, and the characters' personalities were interesting and well-developed. In both cases, Lucy Lennox and Sloan Kennedy managed to blend their unique writing styles seamlessly. I greatly anticipated the third book and learning about mysterious Jake, who appeared in both of the previous books. Unfortunately, "Body and Soul" is a disappointment and it has taken me four tries to get through it. (I read straight through the first two books.) While the plot is mildly entertaining, the characters are problematic. My biggest issue is with Oz. How anyone as successful as him could put himself in such a wilderness setting without doing a minimum of research is beyond me. His continued haplessness in dealing with his surroundings is unbelievable. I knew from Oz's clueless comments regarding his car during his initial meeting with Jake that I would have difficulty with Oz's character. He does deserve some sympathy for being exposed to Jake's continual surliness. While I can understand why Jake lashes out as a form of self-protection, it became an over-used plot device, His abusive behavior towards Oz contradicts all of Jake's words of love and care. One wonders why Oz would put up with Jake for as long as he did. The melding of LL and SK's writing styles does not flow as smoothly in this collaboration. Jake and Oz's extreme personalities cause them to be less believable/sympathetic character. The road to Jake and Oz's HEA is arduous for both the characters and the readers.

Amazing! I loved it.
That story was great. I love it from start to finish. The characters are wonderful. I love the mystery around Jake and his grumpiness. His back story was intense. I love Oz personality and the way he babble when nervous. The plot of the story was amazing. They were a lot of twist in the story change of events that I did not tough about and itโs I am looking for in a story like this. An of course the steaminess was on point with the progression of their relationship. Very great thrilling moment strongly recommend.

Seriously good!!
Blew Me away! Seriously good!!! Book 3 in Twist of Fate series. Oz has escaped to the mountains to prove he's not just a pretty face. Not just to the world but to himself too. He rents a cabin from Xander and Bennett, next door to brooding Jake. He want's away from the spotlight to concentrate on his dress designs. All everyone wants from him is his looks never him. On arrival at the cabin his fancy car gets stuck in the snow. He's not used to the outdoor life so he finds himself a little helpless. Jake's first encounter with Oz turns his life upside down. He instantly knows this man will destroy him if he lets him get too close, so he does what Jake does best and pushes him away. He's lived his life the past few years doing the same to everyone. He can't afford for any attachments. He's never anywhere long enough and it's the way it has to stay. Jake just can't say no to Oz. The harder he tries the worse it is. Oz lacks confidence around Jake after his behavior but he keeps seeing glimpses of the man underneath and he can't help but be drawn to him. The two form an attachment that neither wants to let go of but their time is running out. Oz needs to go back to New York for Fashion week but he finds himself wanting to stay exactly where he is. Jake knows it's time to move on. He can't stay any longer. Can either of them say goodbye? Ohhhh my gosh!! I never saw any of the plot coming. Not one bit. From the previous books i knew Jake was hiding something. I actually suspected maybe a military thing but nope sideswiped completely by the truth. I love that! I love to be surprised. I like the not knowing even when sometimes it's torturous lol. Oz is a great character. Kinda vulnerable but with a pride you admire. He's sometimes a little insecure which considering what he does for a living is really surprising. I think maybe i expected a bit of a diva and although he could edge dramatic it wasn't over the top it was funny. I loved when he was drunk with the girls!! lol i need a gay bestie just like him!!! He was kind and funny and generous not just with his money but his time. You watch him seriously thrive in the small town surrounded by accepting people. He befriends them all and they just love him! Me too!! I thought Jake would break my heart and he did. He was obviously so alone but flashes here and there showed you he hated it. His secret was so devastating and the way he protected his family and everyone else he loved while carrying around the guilt he did made me cry! Let me just say thank goodness for Oz!!! The two of them were amazing together. They were a balance in personality that fit perfect. Their love scenes were exactly that, Love. They were seriously hot but all the feels you felt reading it were amazing! It was great seeing quite a bit of Xander and Bennett and Lucky. They also seriously made me snot blub. I'm not spoilering but seriously blubbing! awwwwwwww I can't wait for Lucky's story!!! The whole town just made this story for me. How they accept and come together was amazing. Oz's best friend was another great addition and hopefully we'll see more of her as the stories go on. Loved this book. Love these authors. Love Oz and Jake and of course Boobear!!!! Seriously loving this series!! Massive recommendation from me!! Fabulous dahhhhling!!!

Absolutely loving this series!
This series continues to impress! I know they can be read as stand alone book, but really you get the best impact reading them in order. The characters from the previous books still play a key role in the next books, so you not only get the development and context for those characters, but the introduction to the new characters the next book is about. I loved Oz and Jake's story. They were so good together once they got past their initial hangups. And once we got the full details of Jake's past, and why he was on the run, it all made sense and I completely understood his hesitance to get involved with Oz, despite feeling the chemistry from their first meeting. Jake showed his kind, nurturing side more in this book - something we didn't see behind his standoffish behaviour in the earlier novels. Oz was such an amazing and colourful character. His happy-go-lucky attitude rubbed off on those around him, and he couldn't help but befriend people with his friendly and outgoing demeanor. That wasn't to say he didn't have his downs or need a confidence boost here and there, but Jake was a huge part of bringing the real Oz to the surface through his love and unequivocal support. He saw Oz for who he truly was, rather than just being the pretty face. The storyline played out well, and I loved how the book wrapped up. I desperately want there to be more in this series - specifically a book for Lucky! He needs a HEA after what he's been through in his life. Definitely a series I would recommend, either as standalone reads, or in the series order as I've read them.
