SW-200

This is my second Digiwalker. I first found out about it in a consumer report about the most valid and reliable pedometers and the model I bought was rated the highest. It was extremely accurate, and I had it for several years. I lost it about a month ago on an airplane. So I went to the consumer website again to find out what is the best pedometer available today. This one was rated second, but I got it because (a) I trusted the brand, and (b) it had the strap. My only complaint with my first Digiwalker was that when I would change clothes (or go to the restroom), the pedometer would fall off of my clothes. On the occasion I was lucky enough to get an entire row to myself on the plane and stretched out, the pedometer fell off, went under the seat, and I didn't realize that I had lost it until I was long gone. The Digiwalker SW-200 is just as valid and reliable, but the strap catches it before it hits the ground on those occasions that it wants to fall. I'm sure I'll have this for a very, very long time to come.

This product is exactly what I wanted at a reasonable price. I was looking for a pedometer with a cover so the count couldn't be reset accidentily. This is fairly accurate, it will count movement that isn't steps but that isn't an issue - I'm just using to judge my activity level.

I go through weeks where I use this everyday on long walks with my dog and then I forget about it and stop using it. It works perfectly and is low tech, but there is a catch. It must be attached correctly on your hip pocket in the right place and if you bend over or sit down, it will give you some extra steps you did not make. But all in all, it is a nice little contraption to have if you have a 10,000 step per day goal or otherwise want to see how much walking you are actually doing in your day. It can motivate you to walk more and increase your numbers.

Would not buy or recommend...only because every little movement on device makes a step....not accurate...

This pedometer was accurate enough and easy to use, but the display only lasted 25 days. I tried 3 different times to contact the seller and requested a replacement or even a replacement battery and never received any response. I plan to try a new battery from a store and hope it gives me better value than 25 days. If not, I'll be moving on to a different brand.

This item came promptly and looked good at first sight. When I realized that it was only a step counter that didn't add up the miles, that was a let down. That was my own oversight. When we followed the directions for this model to measure and set the stride, lo and behold there was no adjustment for that at all. It was totally inaccurate set the way the factory setting was. I purchased this from the good reviews for a birthday gift, but I say, Buyer Beware!

my husband is diabetic and tries for 10,000 steps every day to optimize his health....we have tried many pedometers, and had issues with every one....after reading the reviews for this product that i found on many sites, i was glad to find it for a good price on amazon.com...the provider of the pedometer shipped very quickly, the product is excellent, and my husband is walking to health....thanx for another great experience with amazon.com

This is a back to basics no nonsense step counter - very easy to use. I had one before but lost it due to 'no safety strap'- If you want a reliable and no frills counter, this one is for you.
