**Q: do these simulate actual weight?**
A: No they dont and they are shorter than normal shells. More like 2.5". I filled them full of bb's and sealed the to with hot glue to help with weight. After a hundred or so load and ejects the brass warps and will jam. They are also not like a normal shell and they get caught easily when trying to do dual loads. better than nothing i suppose when practicing but, it didnt improve my reloads at all sadly. I wouldnt buy them again

A: Yes, I have dry fire with them. I haven’t had any problems so for; but they are not the best brand.

Practicing safety was the reason behind my purchase. I wanted to offer my family the opportunity to fiddle around with the 12 Guage we have without worry of an accidental discharge. These snap caps allowed me to do just that. I think a product like this is invaluable when teaching firearm safety. Eapecially when you'd like to highlight the cycle of fire. These look and feel like a real shell (minus the weight). They worked just fine with both a cheap and expensive 12 Guage. Overall, I'm happy.
