It's small footprint takes up little space and looks great next to my stainless steel countertop appliances. Many of the small fans I looked at had the controls inconveniently located in the back but this fan has easy to reach controls right there in the front on the top. It has two speeds and can oscillate if you choose. Before I purchased I was concerned about some comments I read about the noise level on the higher speed and the lack of air output due to the closed design. I always run the higher speed and the noise level isn't overly loud to me at all. Every tabletop fan I've ever had has been even louder. Also, for my purposes, the amount of air output is just fine, and I can feel a slight breeze 4 or 5 feet away.
